The Last Two Heroes

By pmdoug, in The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game

I would say Spirit aragoron is likely to have his standard stat line (why should they change them now?) and an ability sinergizing with gpndor trait. This last version would be king aragorn representation so a gondor synergy fits.

I bet for a spirit attachment for his crown.

Anduril would be more fitting as neutral guarded card to be playable with all aragoron version.

It's a little surprising that the second pack will probably come out before the announcement of the fourth pack.

A lot of unusual quiet around FFG releases lately, even in more active product lines. For the first time in X-Wing's history, they just had several upcoming products canceled (second edition releases of a few ships) and apparently the official X-Wing app is not going to be updated to include Epic Battles or Huge Ships. On top of this, it's been one of the longer periods of silence with regards to what ships will be releasing in the wave after next.

Hopefully a delay in the Fourth Pack's announcement doesn't necessarily translate into a delay in the Fourth Pack's release date, but if it does I suppose there's a chance it takes the better part of 2020 to get the Vengeance of Mordor cycle into player hands.

I am also only comparing this cycle to the last. Before the Wilds expansion was released, they had already announced two packs. The fourth pack was announced about a month before the 2nd pack came out. Now, they have the second pack slotted for January 10th and the 3rd pack slotted for some time in February. I would love a rapid release schedule, even with the upcoming break. But the pacing... seems odd.

Well, the Harad cycle had similiar pacing issues, but it got released eventually. And since there is nothing else after this cycle coming for quite a while (if at all), I do not expect FFG to release their products earlier.

Bear in mind we Brits still haven’t received the first pack of this cycle 🙁

Perhaps a minor point, but Evan Johnson from FFG did release an amended statement re: the official X-Wing app and huge ships/epic play… Essentially, they are working on adding such support to an all-new app.

Sourced from the FFGOP Facebook page, an entry back in late November:

Many of you have noticed that the huge ships have not been added to the X-Wing Squad Builder app. We are actually in the process of completely reworking our X-Wing Squad Builder app, including developing a much more user-friendly interface, offline mode, and support for huge ships and epic play. For now, all tournament-legal ships are still supported by the current Squad Builder app. For huge ships and epic play, we recommend that you use the points lists provided on the FFG website for now.

We'll have much more information to share about the reworked Squad Builder app as it comes closer to release!

EDIT: Turns out they pre-announced today that the Wave 7 announcement will be next week as well.

Ah, this is what I get for not following FFG on Facebook.
