Re-reading Knights of Fate, have a couple new questions.

By StriderZessei, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

1. Does Vaapad Control require you to take 1 strain for each die you want to downgrade, or is it only once to downgrade as many dice as there are Light Side Destiny Points?

2. Because Hard Headed (Improved) isn't ranked, does that mean it DOESN'T reduce the difficulty of a Hard Headed check? Is it wrong to use the EotE version?

Additional ranks of Hard Headed reduces difficulty of both Hard Headed and Improved Hard Headed.

Right, but I'm asking if Hard Headed (Improved) itself reduces the difficulty of the checks, since it's not a ranked talent.

No, it doesn't. It only allows you to make the check.

"The difficulty of [Improved Hard Headed] decreases by one per rank of Hard Headed, to a minimum of Easy.

Appreciate it. Was it ever confirmed if the version in Knights of Fate was a typo?

I don't know. I'm going off of what's in the EotE/AoR Cores. It almost certainly was, though, because I don't think they would change something like that.

Vapaad Control only requires one strain. (Yes its that powerful fear your ability to utterly annihilate large groups of people with Unmatched Ferocity)

Spend 1 strain to downgrade the difficulty a number of times equal to the lightside destiny. Just keep in mind you have to trigger it each time...

But UF doesn't ever upgrade the check, just increases it. Right?

It was confirmed as a typo on Order 66 podcast.
