Maybe i was really wrong, and he (Moralo!) is not as strong as i thought.

I still think he is.

1st game was one shot from a 8-3 win against Saja. Rogue delay the engagement 1 round. The enemy sqiadrons another one. Enough time to my opponent to realize what was going on. His ships run away while Moralo hunt down the Mark but it survived with one hull left. Bad last rolls in addition to some maneuver to safe my crippled Moralo (LTT are great) which cost me some attacks. I poor 6-5 win

2nd reached only the end of the second round against Manu. A terribly slow game from both parts. We left the game. At that point I was gonna trade my Vic for my opponent entire fleet. Another 6-5 win which really hurts with the perspective I had.

3rd game was against Oscar. Sloane aces is a hard match up. However the epic fail came from Vader who could kill Dengar and maybe win me the game round 1 but I rolled one blank and 4 accuracies. Dengar alive meant Moralo died right after. Good by.

Story #2 makes me sad. I had something similar happen in a recent tournament, player was REALLY new, we both had Dodonna and squadrons, and he said it was his first time playing with squadrons. On top of that we were playing my Infested Fields, which I never actually played before, so I had to explain the Exogorths to him and also look up the rules to double check. I ended up with a 6-5 win at the end of round 3. Unfortunately I had deployed and played the long game, which kept my ships safe but I would've had to play until round 5 at least to win big.

I might just go squadless in my next tournament.
