This didn't change my opinion one bit on chess clocks. They are still a terrible solution to the real problem. If games aren't being finished in 2.5 hours, then either add more time or reduce game size (or activations). For slow playing, make sportsmanship matter. There is always talk of social contract in these miniature games, but sportsmanship/etiquette is an afterthought when it comes to scoring. If tournament organizers made sportsmanship count in a big enough way to the overall scoring system, people would not be inclined to cheat or legally be an *** as it would hinder there ability to win.
