Feedback Welcome

Others may shoot me down, but my view (and I'm not an experienced player) is that I'd make the following changes:

Change Vader to Screed

Change Expanded Launchers to APTs/ACMs (or at least Ex racks)

Add Ordnance Experts to the Demo.

Those changes will give you another 14 points is APTs or 12 points is ACMs.

Screed will give you guaranteed Crits to trigger those cards. OE on Demo might seem like over kill, but as sure as eggs is eggs, the one time you want that Crit, you don't get it, even with re-rolls.

My favourite list (Kuat, Demo, Insidious, 2 Gozantis) has needed Screed where even with re-rolls, I've not got the crit.

Hope it helps.

This is my personal view, from my limited (but slightly successful ) uses of Kuat/Demo/Raider/Gozanti.

Kuat, remove HB, RBD and expanded launchers, put in Ord Exp, ECM, Avenger and ACM. I personally like to put QLT on my Kuat for extra anti-Squadron but that adds 5 points onto your build.

GSD, you need to put on Ord Experts. To save points, you could take off Int Officer.

Raider change ACM to External Racks

Gozanti remove Admiral Chiraneau and boosted comms and put on Comns Net

I think the math is 12 extra points if you include minus 4 for Demo Ord Experts.

Amended to say what reddogreb said about Screed!

Spelling and things

Firstly I would like to say thank you for the feedback, and there are definitely some changes I will try. One of the issues however its that I simply don't have certain cards. I play Armada with my brother and we split the core set upgrades with him randomly. He got ECM but I got ACM and I have no copys of ECM because I have only purchased Imperial ships, none of which include ECM. The reason for expanded launchers is that my ordinance upgrades include 2x rapid reload, 2x ACM, and 1x expanded launchers. By putting ACM on my smaller ships it makes them a more credible threat and gets a little more damage out of less dice. I put IO on the Demo so that there is some way for me to deny defense tokes without accuracies. Chirpy is on the Gozanti so Mauler can trigger multiple times, although I will probably remove boosted comms. That being said I hope to get a couple copies of APT, ECM, and ex racks off of eBay and I will definitely try Screed.

If you are just playing with your brother then either write them down or print them off the Wiki. Also if need be proxy certain ships so you can get a feel for them. This will give you a good insight into what cards work best for your game style, and for future ship purchases, including getting multiples of certain ships, and not immediately having to buy other ones too.

You only need the official cards if you are entering competitions.

The main reason I haven't done that is I'm somewhat of a purist and not using the official cards kinda bothers me. This is not to say "FFG product of nothing" its just a personal preference. However I am in the process of making some custom New Republic ships and upgrades. http://v1.kdyards.com/content.php?su[]=662

As far as proxying ships, I have at least one of every Imperial ship expansion so I'm all set on what ships I like.

Its good advice, I'm just weird.

Actually with Vader Admiral he doesn't need Ordnance Experts ;)

Lol true! I’ve not used Vader so OE is a permanent fixture in my lists.

@Oldpara I like playing GSDs, and have thought about Vader as an Admiral.

However at 36 points, he's more expensive than Screed + OE at 30 points (26 + 4).

If using APTs / ACMs Screed will guarantee you the Crit you need.

Statistically you should get one with re-rolls, but having played GSDs a number of times, there are statistical outliers which crop up at the most unwelcome time!

Screed mitigates this.

However choice of admiral will also depend on rest of fleet and Screed may not be optimal with the other ships.

I thought of something similar to this. I would for your list drop mauler and fel. As mauler will get one hit everyone in and than die. Everyone will dog pile Fel till he is dead. Plus you have no intel to move mauler. My idea is using a raider with rapid launch bay and flight command to drop ig 88b and let him hit the squadrons then flak the rest.
