Potential player's list

By Ikka, in Army Building

Hi all. I'm thinking of getting into the game and was wondering if my list would be decently competitive (for casual games at least). I'm not looking for a super-competitive army, as I already play fairly competitive in X-wing and don't really want to go down that road with this game; my local scene is more focused on X-wing and 40k anyway. So these are some units that I like the look of and can work into my army backstory (coming from 40k I'm a big fan of personalizing my forces), but I'm not sure if they will synergize very well. Any advice or suggestions? Thanks!

Director Orson Krennic (107)
--Aggressive Tactics, Strict Orders, Recon Intel

Imperial Officer (55)
--Commanding Presence

Stormtroopers (79)
--DLT-19 Stormtrooper, Stormtrooper

Stormtroopers (79)
--DLT-19 Stormtrooper, Stormtrooper

DF-90 Mortar Trooper (41)
--Comms Relay

Shoretroopers (88)
--T-21B Trooper , Targeting Scopes

Shoretroopers (88)
--T-21B Trooper, Targeting Scopes

Imperial Death Troopers (120)
--DLT-19D Trooper, Recon Intel, E-11D Focused Fire Config

74-Z Speeder Bikes (75)

E-Web Heavy Blaster Team (67)
--Comms Relay , Barrage Generator

Commands:
Voracious Ambition (1), Ambush (1), Deploy the Garrison (2), Pinned Down (2), Coordinated Fire (3), Annihilation Looms (3), Standing Orders (4)

This looks pretty decent overall, but I do have a few suggestions.

First off, you can probably drop the Imperial Officer. Because Krennic has Aggressive Tactics he will always want to be the one issuing orders, so you don't need a second commander. However, if you want to keep the Officer around for Inspire, Spotter, and as a backup commander, then I would suggest at least dropping Commanding Presence.

If you do drop the Officer, I would recommend putting in another corps unit. A mortar is an easy choice, since you will have another one available from the two Shoretroopers. And that would leave enough points to put in a medic. You could also drop the two extra Stormtroopers to put in another medic, which, if you also drop Recon Intel on Krennic (which he doesn't really need), gives you enough points to put Comms Relay on the mortar we added.

Thanks for the input! I'll look into your thoughts and see how it goes.

Edit-

So looking at how the game plays I understand a bit more of what you were trying to convey. I think this would be a good compromise (without me having to grab another Imp Specialist pack yet).
