The reason
2 Years ago we lost our dear friend Nathan Ellis to an aggressive Brain Tumour.
In his memory and to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity, myself and two others (and a few able assistants) are organising an X Wing Miniatures Tournament.
Nathan was one of the most kind, selfless and supportive person. He was always willing to help, even in his darkest of times. He was truly our very own Super Hero.
This event is giving us the opportunity to repay the kindness and support that Nathan gave all of us.
The Brain Tumour Charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, were moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour. We're set on finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support and driving urgent change. And were doing it right now. Because we understand that when you, or someone you love, is diagnosed with a brain tumour a cure really can't wait.

Squads must contain no more than 200 squad points and conform to all of the rules laid down in the core rulebook and tournament rules PDF. Rulings from the unofficial rules document will also be in effect at this event. The relevant information can be found in the links below.

***TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE***
We plan on running five rounds of Swiss, but with a difference! During the lunch break after the second round, we will be splitting the tournament based on bracket. Any player who has not won a game will be paired into a new bracket, containing 3 objective-based games with more prizes on offer. Players will still use their 200 point squad that they registered at the beginning of the day, so there will be no need to bring a second squad.

As I said above, the venue is a Scout Association building that has kindly been donated for the day. There is on-site parking thanks to the adjacent school donating the use of their playground for the day.
There will be lunch available to purchase on-site, as well as bacon sandwiches during sign-in and snacks and drinks through the day. This is being provided by the Scouts and all money spent on refreshments is going directly to the Scout Group who donated the building.
