New commanders arrive!

Looking forward to trying out Cassian and K2SO.
Is it 50 points for him? The pictures too blurry on my phone.
Looks like 50 for Cassian, 70 for K2, and 100 for Iden. Can't see D10 since it's a counterpart card. Interesting that K2 isn't a counterpart.

Which would be kinda shocking. How can Cassian cost only 50 points? LOL
Edit: It certainly looks like 50, but I am guessing it's probably 90?
Edited by manoftomorrow010The article and the tokens seem to imply that these can be used either as commanders or operatives. Is that the case?

Maybe because he is only Courage 2 and Iden is Courage 3? Also, Iden gets the Quick Thinker ability that Cassian doesn't. Card action to gain an Aim and a Dodge

The pictures are very blurry, it can be 50, it can be 90, maybe 80, it's very hard to tell 😋 . I can't figure out either all the words from the new keywords:
Covert Ops: "When you deploy, you may treat your rank as [Opperative]. If you do, you gain Infiltrate"
Loadout: "When you deploy, you may swap any of your equipped upgrades with........ upgrades"
Marksman: "While attacking, you can spend aim tokens..... attack......."

Marksman: "While attacking, you may spend aim tokens to improve attack die results."

It has to do with their "Cover Ops" abbility:
Covert Ops: "When you deploy, you may treat your rank as [Opperative]. If you do, you gain Infiltrate"
So this bit about K2SO:
Able to seamlessly blend in with Imperial forces until he's ready to unleash his massive strength and quick reflexes on his foes, K-2 can help Andor in any situation.
A hint at a mechanic to get him hidden in an opponent's unit before the game, and revealing him on a later turn?
Hmm... It looks like neither commander has surge to crit, merely surge to hit. That's unusual for Ranged heroes.

Loadout says, "When you deploy, you may swap any of your equipped upgrades with your set aside upgrades.
Between loadout and Marksman, it looks like these units will have a fair bit of additional text for their new rules beyond the reminder text.

That has got to be the most vague reminder text ever written (anyone can spend aim tokens while attacking to "improve" attack dice), which means how that works must be complicated.
And the covert ops ability...are they then an operative for the rest of the game? If not, what's the point? If so, are they still your commander if you don't have another one in your list? If not, why not just make a separate unit card with the operative rank? So many questions!
But Iden looks incredible. Cannot wait to see more stuff for her, and to get her on the table.
You can choose if you want to be a op, that is sweet!
1-* again, so that is awesome! I can't wait for this!
treat your rank, so building they are a commander, but with unit tokens and for the rest of the game they are treated as an op, use your other commanders value

But what if you don't have another commander? Because while building a list she is always a commander. Do you immediately enter a loss of commander state and have to nominate a commander?
Edit: these are all rhetorical, by the way, as we have no way of knowing until we get the preview articles or they update the RRG.
Edited by LochlanAlso, notice that both have a facedown command card, in addition to their other cards, this is interesting.

I would assume so, if so that is awesome!

Most likely they will still be your commander, but will be using operative tokens to pad your token control? Like take Iden with operative Vader or Cassian with operative Luke to get rid of the commander token and get two or three operative tokens in your bag?

The article mentions that each of the droids have 1 command card, in addition to the 3 for each commander.

The 4th command card is for K2S0 and the imperial droid.

1 droid card

Oh I missed that part! Haha

They mention that Andor & Versio have 3 command cards each, with the fourth for their respective droid. I think that’s very interesting, as is the variable weapon load outs. It’s starting to border upon the type of customisable shore trooper commander that I want.

I suspect you cannot use that text without another commander in the army. Just a guess though.
I’m actually pretty stoked for Iden. I have zero care about her character or battlefront, but I like having a tie fighter pilot down on the ground. Going to use the helmet for sure. Also liking the nimble + red defense die.
Cassian is a maybe for me - if I play more rebels than sure but I only have Luke and Leia so far for their heroes

I suspect they will stay operatives- You trade the ability to share your high courage value with the rest of your army for a deployment advantage. Presumably there's some restrictions that prevent an army with only Cassian or Iden from using the ability and then immediately giving them back their old rank. Which could allow for you to make certain characters like Luke Operative or Boba Fett your commander...
