Hello and Welcome Back, Loyal A Game of Thrones Fans!

We hope you get a chance to check out the A King in the North Chapter Pack as it should be just now hitting your Friendly Local Game Store. Hopefully it's adding plenty of new opportunities to your decks. Now that it's out there, we can look ahead at our next upcoming Chapter Pack, The Return of the Others, the final pack of the Defenders of the North cycle. It's been a wild ride from Winterfell to The Gift to Beyond the Wall, and we hope you have enjoyed it. Pretty soon we will be introducing you to the wildness that is The Brotherhood Without Banners, but before we get there, we still have a few more cards to show you from this cycle.

For those of you who have been following Defenders of the North you know that it is all about the Night's Watch and Wildlings, and in this week's preview we present to you the leaders of ths factions bound together by The Wall.

First up we have the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, Old Bear Mormont. He's expensive, it's true, but his special ability can make a huge difference if played at the right time. Granted, it may be hard to know what the right moment is going to be, and given that you have to kill the Old Bear to trigger his ability, you will only get one chance to find out of you were right. Still, cancel a Winter Festival (Wolves of the North, F20) and buy yourself some time if your opponent is close to victory, cancel either of the Valars (Morghulis or Dohaeris (The Wildling Horde, F80)) to keep your side of the board full, especially if you outnumber your opponents, the list goes on; there are plenty of opportunities and hopefully you will pick the right one.

Next up we have the uncrowned King of the Wildlings, Mance Rayder. For those value-conscious players, Mance provides excellent value for his gold cost, with three icons and 3 STR for only three gold. Moreover, if an opponent is running a The North agenda, you can switch it off for her with Mance's special ability. Even if your opponent isn't running a The North agenda, just having the flexibility to participate in different challenges is pretty handy, especially if you are running a Wildling deck and need more icon coverage. Couple Mance Rayder with Beyond the Wall (Beyond the Wall, F38) and, if you're willing to accept needing more power to win, The Free Folk (Beyond the Wall, F39), and you've got a pretty strong attacker - just be sure to keep some non-Wildlings in reserve for defense.
