Generic Jedi Generals Clone Wars?

By Darthset, in Star Wars: Legion

Even if they do not release it, there are endless sources of models that you can customize to fit the bill.

I would say that someone on the dev team writing/playtesting/making official (even if not for tournies) rules for making custom characters would be the first step. that way, they could gauge whether or not to invest in making model kits or if they do, what direction and options are the best to do.

If all else fails and you dont want to do modeling or use other models, you could buy spare character models that you think looks cool and use the rules/points for whatever character is the closest to what you want the character to be. Then repaint and rename it .Just dont combine it with the actual character whose rules your using in the same list to avoid possible abuses.

Makes sense for Wedge though, as all he ever really does is fly. He wouldnt make much sense as a commander or operative unless he still was in a vehicle.

TCW Jedi do a lot more than ride tanks.

So does Rider. And I'm sure someone could write more novels with Wedge engaging in special forces style operations, like with the old X-Wing novels.

Canon depictions don't necessarily equate to how they will be depicted in Legion. Veers isn't shown deploying to the battlefield on foot for instance. Jyn never fights alongside Han, but it's allowed in Legion.

It would be cool to do a generic Jedi as a single lower cost card (70-80) then make a slot where you can choose which of the lightsaber forms you want them to use, and maybe one or two force slots as well. You could run them naked without the form for a cheap filler.

No problem, I was taking a shot at my D&D friends that like to cannibalize my models.

FFG may do some sort of campaign. I think they have several guys from Imperial Assault on the development team. I still think the Republic is probably the one faction with the most commander/operative options

Kit Fisto

Jocasta

Ki Adi Mundi

Plo Koon

Luminara

Qui Gon

eeth Koth

Mace Windu

Lots more - Like I said, I may not recognize all the names but I know the faces

Each of these could change the way the army plays which is what the Developers said the commander was supposed to do

We need Master Ima-Gun Di with a command card The Last Stand

Except, personally, I think a padawan could/should stand on their own. Ahsoka shouldn't be a counterpart, nor Bariss even.

Agreed, time and again in Star Wars books, comics, and cartoons, you see the Padawans given a task to complete by their master and then they act autonomously , they shouldn't be stuck on a leash.

They don't have to be stuck, there could be two cards included in the Master/Apprentice box(es) for the apprentice: one to field them as a Counterpart, and one to field them Teamwork. That said, I think the Teamwork option is significantly more likely, especially given that the Cassian/K-2SO unit box has them as separate units.
