We got an announcement article.........and its Paint

By lunitic501, in Star Wars: Legion

TLDR this whole thread. FFG, release more proper clone wars units, and get them out pronto.

It's already taking too long.

But I think its clear, as a company, that FFG are too strung out with all their other board/card games.
We aren't dealing with GW here, who are practically a miniature focused company. FFG have a plethora of other titles/types of games.

Sometimes I wonder if FFG as a company is like butter scraped over too much bread.

...

On a positive. The new scenario expansion looks really nice. :)

Clone wars players should feel annoyed. We have stuff all to play with. BUT THE BIG THING. The big ******* problem that ffg have been doing is STILL releasing civil war **** while the new factions sit at bare bones.

I want this game to kick off properly in my area. This isn't going to happen with 2 factions plus 2 bare bones factions. Players want good variety. The market is competitive, and this lag in production by ffg will hurt the short and long term health of the game.

...

To be fair to the OP, these paints don't look very good.

Alex has said in interviews the license if forcing their hand on gcw stuff. Vader and Luke operatives were rushed into the schedule to appease them and not in ffg's planned schedule. I think they are more over stretched trying to keep everyone happy

Vader and Luke was the fault of Disney, but FFG was somehow able to push Dooku and Rex out early so it evened out?

My big issue is FFG choice to make the next wave the weapon expansions. A very cool concept, but in practice it does very little for the Clone Wars factions who need more unit options. Rebels feel like the big winners out of that wave since they weapons look interesting and they get unique aliens figures. The tanks should have been the December release to help with keep the hype train strong.

I dunno, the CW packs get some great adds - Droids get the OOM and the E-5s which gives them an r4 critical weapon, and the Clones get the first infantry non-tap Impact weapon which may be useful if the tanks take off. And "should" is a tricksy business, remember they take about a year to develop this stuff, so its entirely possible the tanks were not finished designing, let alone manufacturing to be available this year, Rex and Dooku were a fluke in that they were clearly designed and in production earlier and managed to squeak up in the line for manufacturing.

Still an outrageous amount of entitlement here. FFG can't exactly tell their Rebel and Imperial customers to go die for a year, without them there would be no Clone Wars factions.

Ooh! Buzzwords! Love the posturing mate... Try to attack the actual argument, not try to insult people.

I'm a rebel player and a clone wars player btw.
