No Annoucement

A terrain piece with a unit for CIS/Empire would be the best, but after this I feel like it will just be a piece of terrain with objective cards that can only be used with the terrain............. and be overpiced as well.

Between this, the massive delays, and what they did with X-wing I lost a lot of trust I have for the company. Which is sad since two out of the three errors I feel they did to themselves.

And maybe I am overacting and will think differently in a few days, but man.............I would have been fine with these paints if they were not presented as a giant early wave of 5 band new releases that we could give us something to do while everything gets delayed.

this wouldn't really give you something to do, as anting they would have announced that want iden and Cassian is going to be q2

Wait.......................... the two missing stuff for Q1 are most likely not Cassian/Iden, but paint...........

I am also stuck behind a computer a lot for work. I like to read blogs, forums, and podcast about the stuff coming out and what they will do. Also was going to try and proxying for the first time this weekend to get pumped up for ROS! Looks like I am playing League of Legends/CoD instead lol.

I wouldn't worry about the January products pushing out beyond then. It's probably just a transit issue.

Right??

::PTSD from being an Armada player:: 🤣

How long was the SSD Wait again? 364 days I think.

Paint sets would have been a lot cooler if they had them available on release, either the original, or the Clone Wars core. Dropping them months after the fact kinda makes it a very moot point.

Paint set's would be so much cooler if they did what they did for the D&D sets and include an alt scult miniature: https://shop.thearmypainter.com/products.php?ProductGroupId=23#D&D Monsters Paint Set

So that people who just want the exclusive miniature have to spend 30$ for a single mini and paints they don't need? Yeah, I'm sure there would be no outrage at all...

Maybe, but it's not required mini by any means and it's 1000% more accessible then a convention exclusive.

Con exclusives are just alternate sculpts, not net new minis. Unless you meant alt sculpt with the paints, then I’d be fine with it

Given that he literally said "alt sculpt," I'm pretty sure that's what he meant.

What if the last slot is a Battle card pack for standard 800 point play instead of terrain or a unit? (or both a Battle-card pack with a piece of terrain I suppose..?)

I'm just waiting for the $300 scale model of the Death Star 2 to place on a standee or hang from the ceiling to work as a terrain backdrop for a linked scenario on Endor.

And the paints should have been out months ago.

I guess it was all three. Sort of. New models aren't units I guess.

Alternately, if Army Painter had the paint sets ready at launch, FFG could have offered a "Starter bundle" with the starter set and both paint sets for some slightly discounted price.

I'm still waiting on the New Order Announcement promised by the title

or if they came out when people were still painting

Jokes aside, I think the real killer of these paint sets is the release of the GW contrast paints.

Like, I have plenty of units I still need to paint, but I'll be honest, I'm a creature of comfort. The ease of the contrasts trumps the color accuracy of the new stuff.
