A few questions about a few cards

By Tom O' Bedlam, in Talisman Rules Questions

1) The Sky Screecher card says that if your attack role is less than your Craft, you automatically lose. Is this some kind of misprint? That means anyone with a Craft of 6 or more can never win which just doesn't seem right to me. And does Craft gained from followers, objects, etc count as well?

2) The Planeswalker card says that after you encounter him, whether or not you use his services, you roll the die and he teleports to the corresponding location. What happens if a character comes across him at the new location? Does he offer to teleport that character as well? And does he again move to a new location after the encounter?

3) Certain Enemies like the Ghost or Blight Haunt move to a different location determined by a die roll as soon as they are drawn. If there's already a Character in the space where it appears, doeas that Character have to automatically fight it, can they choose to if they wish or does nothing happen? Also, if a Character later lands on a space where there is such a creature and he wants to encounter the space (like praying at the Church, for example) does he have to fight the Enemy first or can he encounter just the space instead?

4) The Crypt Keeper card says to draw 5 Adventure Cards, take an Object of your choice and discard the rest when he's defeated. If he's defeated in the Dungeon (and there is a Crypt Keeper in the Dungeon Card deck) do you still draw Adventure Cards or do you draw Dungeon Cards instead?

Thanks in advance for any help that's given!

I think there is no error or mistake. And yes, Craft points from Followers and Objects count as normal.

I would say, that right after teleporting to a new space, You need to encounter it, and Planeswalker isn't there yet. But before encountering the space, You wust move the Planeswalker somewhere, so if he will end in Your space, You are ignoring him.

If Ghost appears on the space already occupied by another Character, it ignores him. Character may encounter cards only in his turn. And yes, Character needs to encounter all the cards before he will be able to encounter the space, which is not "draw a card" space, itself.

Dungeon.

I think there was some confusion on this one but it's my fault as I didn't word it clear enough. What I was asking was: After the Planeswalker is encountered for the first time and he moves to a new space what goes on with the next Character to encounter him? Does the Planeswalker offer that Character the same services? And does the Planeswalker move on again after being encountered, whether or not his services are used?

Thanks for your help with the other questions, though.

Yes, sure. The card is moved to another space and it is an Event card that stays on the space, and can be normally encountered by another Character as normal until the player rolls 1, and the Planeswalker decides to teleport to another dimension (Discard pile).

Dungeon.

We have always draw from the main deck happy.gif

It seems we make a mistake?

Anything that refers to Adventure cards when in a side region is taken to refer to that region's deck. So dungeon cards in the dungeon, and highlands cards in the highlands.

What he said. The error is, but with Oracle, not Crypt Keeper.

Yeah, Oracle specifically refers to Dungeon cards. Think of Adventure card as a catchall category for any card, be it an actual Adventure card, Purchase or even Spell.

Oke, after we draw the Crypt keeper in the dungeon and defeat him, we will draw from the dungeon deck from now on lengua.gif
