Take a Strain. Tam is starting to get anxious that she can't track the babies.

Go ahead and make an Average Knowledge (Xenology) check.

I'll take that.

Kebiin knows that these are actually Vynocks, as they have legs and Mynocks don't. Aside from that, they are pretty much the same. They are allergic to helium and are hunted my tailrings. They don't have nests or droppings, which makes it hard to track them. If they took the VTs, they probably aren't going far and are just looking for a quiet spot to snack on the VTs' batteries.

I don't suppose the VT's are making any noise?

Make a Hard Perception check (no Setback).

sigh..

What's your plan now?

how many tunnels again?

Four.

Well, I guess we could have Tam and Kebiin split up, each taking a VT, and go down two tunnels at a time.

unless the VT can scan for their siblings?

The VTs' scanners are disrupted, but once you get closer they might work.

Okay, please roll a single force die for each PC (labeled who for).

Kebiin : 1eF 2 Light Side

Tam : 1eF 1 Dark Side

Okay, please go ahead and post IC up to the point where they enter the tunnel.

I've been forgetting the Setback from cold. I should have been applying that all along, but will do so from now on (if I remember, which is dubious). It has been long enough that they need to retest. Because of prolonged exposure, the check is upgraded once.

Average Resilience, upgraded once, and with a Setback for their previous failure.

Sigh.. not good...

Kebiin takes 2 wounds and 3 Strain, Tam takes 2 Strain.

sigh.. they're going to be forced to turn back soon.. 😞

What's your course of action from here?

Any clues on the scream? (might resolve that.. and then Kebiin will have to turn back.. Tam won't like it, but she'll go with...)

Is there a chance of turning the heat up from the bridge?

The shriek was a mynock (well, vynock anyway).

Tam is capable of progressing on her end, it would just count as difficult terrain. I wanted to make sure you didn't think it was impassable.
