[Republic] [Extended] Attack of the Clone Beef

By Ryfterek, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hey!

On a lazy Friday afternoon (#EU) I just want to share you folks a list I've been blasting for the past couple of months, ever since Republic Y has been released.

I've hit a 20 games played mark this week, totaling an 80% win-rate. Those games come from Hyperspace Trials, friendly kitchen-table matches, and FLGS League - where two of our active players have made the Top Cut in this year's World Championships!

The list is very straightforward in the choice of cards but offers an enormous range of possible plays and strategies!

I've got a cheap-but-effective Ace with regen, beefy/swarmy anvil built of two ARCs, crowd control element circling around the board spreading Ion, and a pesky nimble blocker! On top of that, the list comes sprinkled with a reasonable bid taking people by surprise!

I am yet to prepare a solid write-up for how to handle the list but feel free to hit me with some questions if you're interested in something in particular!

If you have an urge to criticise after reading the build, let me know how would you upgrade this list!

Cheers and have a great Friday!

Up to date for new points!

Hello there!

In the face of the recent Points Update, I took the list above to the inauguration of our 2020 FLGS Xwing League. While the update has been harsh on Delta-7B Regen Jedi -centric lists, it left the Clones unscratched. Well, unless you'd like to play Hyperspace, that is...

The list above lost the mind-blowing aspects of having a reasonable bid in-between 5 ships on board. Not being able to secure Ric's dominance on the board is a bummer - on the other hand it never could've been taken for granted in the face of Ini6 aces all around.

As of yesterday the list rocks 29:9 win:lose count - in other words, 76% win ratio across close to 40 games played across multiple events. I took it for a spin to the National Team Championship and contributed 4:2 to the bronze medal for my club.

In the face of recent changes and LAAT looming in the distance, I believe there's a bright future ahead of the Clones!
