So, not sure if I run Thrawn or Admiral Screed yes, but leaning towards Thrawn. Hondo Onaka to give me turn 1 Cataclysm. I am not running XI7 Turbolasers on the Avenger because if Cataclysm achieves 6 critical icons through use of confire for an extra die (this is max, more likely to get 3 to 4 on average with my crit fixing), it is going to remove all shields on the aft/flanks on the first large ship it shoots in conjunction with them Bracing and Redirecting the normal damage that follows after the critical effect of the SHCBT on either Turn 1 if I am lucky, otherwise Turn 2, meaning Brace is now Red for Avenger, hence why I have added Spinal Armament to up the damage output.

Obvious downside is squad match-ups, here I need to Snipe and delete the enemy Carrier ASAP.

First activation advantage allows me to use Cataclysm to make sure my target is within Maximum Dice firing range when I activate first.

Not sure if I Governor Pryce or Strategic Adviser.

What are people's thoughts.

Have you thought about just taking General Romodi and parking your Onager behind the ISD or floatillas? That way you can get 2 additional red dice if you manually concentrate fire so you could get 7 crits? You should also take Vader to strangle Pryce and Needa on a flotilla to maximize damage.

You can probably trim few more points off the list by dumping QLT, Pryce -> SA (you have 5 activations at that point which is fine), and Spinals to Quads to afford 4 Ties to tie up bombers for your 2 flotillas to command.

What are your thoughts on this, swapped for Screed, found that I like crit fishing too much haha, my only annoyance is that I now cant bid for first player for First/Last Alpha on the Cataclysm... My biggest hate with Imperialsi is if I am not running a full squadron list I am not sure what to run as a small air defense unit, Rebels I tend to just use Jan Ors, Biggs Darklighter and 2 X-Wing Squadrons, or if i have the points I swap 1 X-Wing for Wedge Antilles and add Dutch Vander.

• Ciena Ree (17)
• Valen Rudor (13)

Or maybe I run a Kuat? Considering Cataclysm is going to be stripping most shields on the target, ACM on the Kuat is just going to up the damage roof of what ever is rolled.

ISD Kuat Refit (112)
• Governor Pryce (7)
• Boarding Troopers (3)
• Electronic Countermeasures (7)
• Leading Shots (4)
• Assault Concussion Missiles (7)
• Avenger (5)
= 145 Points

It will bring the points to 392

That's the premium Kuat but if you want to really spam ACMs, use Demolisher instead. You can get 3 activations of Demo if you can First/Last. I believe that a speed 3+1 demo can hit slightly longer than long range too unlike the Kuat:

This is basically an update of Clonisher at this point where you are using the OSD for long range instead of the HIE Raider. You have 6 deployments and 5(or 6 with SA) activations. I can imagine that its going to be insanely brutal to take a Super in the face and then 3 Demo ACM shots. I can't really imagine much surviving that. You have 4 + 6 guaranteed damage with this list which is ludicrous.

I dunno how active clontroper5 is these days but maybe he can chime in on this.

Edit:

I just did the number crunching and OSD + Vader Strangle Needa + Demo first last is on average over 30 damage before long range not including rams.
