Looking army adding a few pieces. Do I need more than 1 N-1 or TIE Silencer?
Advice for purchasing
I would say grab one of each and see how you like them. There aren't a lot of lists floating around right now that use more than one of either of these.
Somebody did fly double generic silencers alongside a third ship I can't remember if they were the I4s or the I1s and did decently. Other than that list it seems to be pretty much Kylo, when it gets flown.
The N-1 seems to be dominated by Ric. Some people have done very well with a Ric, Little Ani, and a high initiative Jedi (I think Obi wan).

It’s always easy to overbuy. I would just get one and fly them until you have a good enough feel for them to determine if you truly want more than one.
Mind you, as my own collection can attest, I’m a classic hypocrite with such advice. 😛
Thanks! Found them on Black Friday sale. Already had a silencer, but haven’t really used it. N-1 is new for me

Forgot who but it was QD and 2x I4 silencers

I love the N1. Totally a blast to fly, IMHO.
You should probably bear in mind that there's probably a points change coming in January, so what's good or bad now may change quite soon. I would advise someone expanding their fleet to diversify rather than getting multiples as a general rule (obviously discounted prices might change that).

Tell me your secrets . I ended up getting a second so I can get some more concentrated table time with them, but I definitely still don’t “get” them.
I’m thinking that the smart move is capping them at about 50 points per ship, and either running them as Passive ProTorp Bravos or a stripped-down Ani/Ric team...

I have flown them a number of different ways, but IIRC this was one of my better outings:
Ric Olié (42)
Marksmanship (1)
R2 Astromech (4)
Ship total: 47 Half Points: 24 Threshold: 3
Anakin Skywalker (N-1 Starfighter) (41)
R2 Astromech (4)
Proton Torpedoes (13)
Ship total: 58 Half Points: 29 Threshold: 3
2x Bravo Flight Officer (34)
R2 Astromech (4)
Plasma Torpedoes (9)
Ship total: 47 Half Points: 24 Threshold: 3
Total: 199
I think they need a payload to soften targets up; 2 dice alone make for too much chipping time with a ship so fragile.
Ric screams around as fast as he can fly lining up bulleyes for his EPT to kick in. If anyone gets in trouble, they can hopefully zoom out of combat to get some R2 love, but like most Imperial ships the true secret is don't get shot.
To me, they handle a lot like the TAP, which even in 1.0 was my favorite Imperial fighter/interceptor.
TL/DR: Stay loose, fly fast, and let the torps do the heavy lifting.
P.S.: At that price point, I just bought 6 to fly as a wing for Epic. That's how much I like them.
