I'm super excited for brand-new heroes, but I was thinking about how you could broaden existing characters. It'd be really cool if they came out with a Spider-Man expansion or Iron Man expansion that was just 3-5 new Alter Ego/Hero Cards + Hero Decks. Maybe Hero cards more specifically geared towards specific aspects with new abilities and stats, rather than a simple alternate art of the existing cards, and a Hero Deck to coincide. It'd be a neat way to easily generate lots of new iterations of popular characters without dedicating multiple traditional expansions to them.

NOTE: I'm also addressing the Alter-Ego because you could totally have a new Spider-Man and it be Miles Morales, Ben Reilly, Miguel O'Hara, or whoever. It'd be neat to get variants for Peter Parker/Spider-Man, or Steve Rogers/Cap (hopefully we see a Sam Wilson/Cap!), etc.

I'd love to see some alternate versions of certain heroes. Tony using one of his numerous Iron Man armor variants instead of the standard one, Steve Rodgers could have an alternate as Nomad, or a Peter Parker that is using the Black Symbiote suit. The rules are thankfully written in such a way that Miles Morales could totally pop up as an identity and even be used in a game with Peter from the core set, so hopefully that means they do intend to add characters like him in the future. Not gonna lie, I combed the rule book just to make sure that Miles/Spider-Man could be used in a game with Peter/Spider-Man, in the hopes that he would someday show up in an expansion or maybe a deluxe box.

These are my thoughts exactly.

I expect Miles Morales will simply be his own new Hero at some point. The alter-ego part of the card is the only aspect that’s truly unique.

On that matter, I do think a Mk 47 (just throwing out a number there 😂 ) Iron Man deck would be dooooope. A set of new Upgrade cards that are listed as “Iron Man 10b” etc, and just replace the core set card of the same number would be simple enough.

I think Iron-Man would be one of the few justifications for a new release. Maybe the same Hero/Alter-Ego with some new art, and then a new set of Hero Cards. You could keep some the same, such as Arc Reactor, while updating stuff like the weapons.

Or they could just release new Iron Man suits such as Stealth Armor or Silver Centurion as Aspect Cards.
I doubt we will be getting alternate Hero cards for any characters, or even Alternate sets for most heroes.

New characters like Miles are almost definite as Heroes. They can coexist under the rules. I doubt we get Multiple heroes for characters though. At best we will get multiple allies, such as a Justice Peter Parker Spider-man, or a Black Suit Aggression Spider-man.

I think there could be several spiderman heroes. The biggest ones would be

Gwen Stacey/Ghost Spider

Miles Morales/Ultimate Spiderman

Octo/ Superior Spiderman

Miguel Ohara/ Spiderman 2099

scarlet spider may also be Cain or Michael & Van (I think Patrick is the dead one).
