Let me tell a funny story:
So, the local X-Wing distributor for Brazil was doing a relatively poor job at localizing and bringing 1.0 X-Wing to our shores. Delays, bad translation, miscommunication, the whole thing. When they finally decided to bring the Raider (years late), they brought in too little stock. It was sold out in a matter of days (I got mine at a jacked up price through an online reseller). So they got overexcited and ordered a bunch more, which apparently proceeded to get stuck in shelves.
Fast forwards to a couple weeks ago, the distributor decided to burn through its 1.0 stock, calling it "Black november". 1.0 ships were being sold as low as 90% off. That would be USD 2.50 for a single ship, 5 for packs (eg. heroes of the resistance), and 10 for the Raider. Yes, ten dollars. For a raider. Couple weeks ago.
I didn't really want to buy a second raider, but many people did (either because they didn't want to pass up a deal, or because they want to make money reselling later). Me, I just got a bunch of duplicate stuff to gift friends and try to bring them into the game. Also, a couple extras for myself to practice ship painting.
So, yea, if you want to find a place with abundant Raiders, that would be Brazil at this point. People will probably be trying to resell them at full price, tho.
Wow, I just lucked out big time. I was at my not so local shop picking up my Raider order and decided to grab a Rebel transport as well. I knew that they were having a one day Black Friday sale so asked if I could get the discount today since I was there. Turned out to be 35% off 1st ed X-wing products! Ended up getting the GR75 for $41CAD and the Raider for $60! (refunded from yesterday's order).
So I guess everything worked out.
The official Black Friday sale starts at midnight...I might have to pick up some more stuff.

As I mentioned in my earlier reply I preordered this from GameNerds and they had no information on this, so if I hadn’t looked at the upcoming page I would now be happily thinking that my raider was coming in December. So again WHY was this information not posted on THESE forums or the FFG main page??? I also saw the post “another way to ask FFG questions” AGAIN on discord. I don’t play competition so why can’t this information or Q&A be available to casual players?? I love X-Wing just as much as a competitor. I just don’t get it.

Although I agree that these types of news should be posted by FFG on this site/forum. You are wrong to think that the Q&A is unavailable to casual players. The discord server is open to all. I also joined it via a link posted on these forums and I have not played any X-wing tournaments so farm

You have to know about the discord to join, though, and players that don't know about it won't know they need to look for it
Raider indefinite delay is disappointing. I had one from back when (no CR-90 Tantive though), but the extra hassle for other folks to get one is unfortunate.
With the Saws/Reaper, I was kind of surprised that these were getting re-released so soon, since they already had the 2e components in them.

Booo...just pulled my Raider out of the package and noticed I'm down a missile launcher. Looked all through the box and nothing. I can't believe I didn't notice this when I picked it up:
I contacted Asmodee parts and hopefully they can send me out the missing part (maybe pull it off of one of their Raiders :)) Worst case, if they refuse to fix it, I guess I can try and pry off another launcher and make a resin cast. Unfortunately, that was the last Raider (and maybe now I know why it was still on the shelf haha).

Just FYI, if you were not part of that channel/server before the comment, that link does no good, as you cannot view the history to confirm that comment was ever made. Also, posting info on discord, to me, is not an official channel of news or information. FFG needs to not only post an official announcement Here on their site, but also, maybe let their re-sellers KNOW so they can stop taking pre-orders on it.

If you look at the product page for X-Wing, under Galactic Empire Expansions, the Raider is no longer listed. FFG has said multiple times, in live streams and news posts, that the Raider was coming after the CR90. I don't think this is a hoax.

And yet, now, they are not saying anything... (no, a discord post does not count as them saying anything). Why would they say, publicly, during live streams and FAQ's that the ship is coming, then decide to quietly , cancel production and not tell anyone about it (including retailers who some are still taking pre-orders on), like we wouldn't notice? It doesn't make sense.

First off, I'm not sure why you are getting defensive - the Raider was there on that page; I know because I was looking at it a couple of weeks ago. Normally, I'd agree that a post on Discord shouldn't immediately be taken at face value but that's why, Crabbok, being the good vlogger that he is, contacted FFG directly and the person he spoke with confirmed that the Raider has indeed been cancelled. It's all in his video.

If FFG has an abundance of overstock for the Raider, then it's possible they won't issue a 2.0 product until they are almost sold out of 1st ed product. If that's the route they want to take so be it, but an announcement would be appreciated. Heck, they could even just write a post on the forum and say "the rumour that we aren't releasing the Raider 2.0 is untrue".

Which is my point. We shouldn't be hearing about this 2nd, or 3rd hand. They should be releasing some kind of official statement. While i trust Crabbok, it would be helpful if we could get the information directly from FFG ourselves.
Also, canceling sounds more permanent than "delay until we clear stock". Saying something like "were canceling it" has the context of "we've abandoned this product, and do not plan to
ever
release it"

Because people are using the removal of the product from the page as a source of something that was never 'officially' stated, as if it was officially stated. Its assuming. Its twisting a lack of information into a fact. We get enough of that crap from the government.
At this point, all i know for sure, is the 2E Raider isnt currently going to be sold due to the removal from FFG. Has it been canceled? I dont know, and until FFG makes an official statement on it, on their website (including this form, somewhere where we can confirm their identity as an FFG rep, which you cannot do on Discord), i never will.
Finally, It may also mean, that they dont plan to release the Raider, *as an imperial ship*. We may still get a raider as a First Order ship. They may not even release a CR-90 as a republic ship, opting to just release a card pack for the upgrades instead so they don have to have 2 lines of huge models with different paint jobs. This is what im more expecting to happen.

I started with 1st edition, and my first (and so far only) buy-in for the Epic stuff was the Raider. I don't many chances to play these days, so I'm not too worried about not having the Epic Conversion kit yet, but I'm pretty glad that I have one at this point.
This does not point in good directions for the company itself.
