I think what we all have to remember is that Star Wars stuff never makes it in time for Christmas. Think about the "Early Bird Certificate Package" from 1977.

going to cross fandom quote here;

Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge: Yeah, well, I told the Fans I’d have this released in time for Xmas

Scotty: How long will it really take?

Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge: Until Xmas!

Scotty: Oh, you didn’t tell them how long it would *really* take, did ya?

Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge: Well, of course I did.

Scotty: Oh, laddie. You’ve got a lot to learn if you want people to think of you as a miracle worker.

At least they're not cancelled like the X-Wing 2.0 Raider...

When in doubt, blame Ship unloading.

I would have given FFG props if they just would have come out and said “This is the way.”

I know the Upcoming page was switched to say January release, but has anyone at FFG said anything about the delay since then?

I was hoping they pushed back the release to be safe and then they would arrive early under my Christmas tree :(

Alas, no...

Merry Christmas all.

no onager and Starhawk under tree. But my 8$ Interdictor and rogues and villains arrived today. Well done amazon US to UK.

santas helper snatched them and wrapped them on the complaint the ones she ordered had not arrived in time.

that was her final order.

i have spoken

Ill be broke from Christmas as well so it doesn't bother me to much. Give me time to come up with the money to get the starhawk.

I almost preordered but decided to wait.... ah well. Sux for those who did or were really wanting it this month though.

I might get another Liberty Crusier so I can run two in the meantime.

Huh I guess the editor for ffg's press releases really screwed up when he didn't correct Q4 2019, to Q1 2020.

Nah, we all know what that really means by now! ;)

This is both terrible and great for me. Terrible because I need a new Rebel ship to try out so I can go back to my main faction, great because I still can't find a build for the Starhawk I'd be happy/excited to play.

It seems like you should auto include the Magnite, but then you're building around the Speed-0 Maneuver, and if you do that you're going Concord, and that means Mk I. Amity is interesting but I feel Rebels have less offensive ways to leverage Evade added to a large...I guess you could replace it with Salvo using the O. Retrofit, but with Amity you're also going to take HB. Anyyywaayyy back to fleet theory for me.

Nah, I think that the Onager is really the one that needs it's superweapon. The Starhawk is good even without the Tractors. I've been trying to make a carrier build work on it, but the problem is 140 points base for the Mark I doesn't leave a lot of points for a squad ball.

I'm really interested in the Onager. The prolongued range seems quite interesting and the ship has enough weak spots to think about and build around.

But I don't like the idea of a rebel ship bigger and sturdier than an ISD. In my eyes it's not the rebels' way to makes things bigger (14 hull!) and better armed than the empire. And what's the interesting point in ship design to give rebels the fourth large-based ship, all stats better for 140-150 FP? For the first time since 2016 I really think about letting this expansion out. The price makes this decision even easier.

I don't have very much time to play until April/May. Maybe I will change my mind after some exciting battle reports? Maybe I stick with the Onager only and buy a second MC75.

Yeah, I gave up on carrier Starhawk except for a janky Magnite / Bail / RLB filled with Bombers.

There's a list I've been working on that's Magnite + Lancers that feels better, but same issue: so expensive when I can have Yavaris, Command Pelta, heck even the Liberty saves me 40 points.

Well, its not Rebel... its New Republic. I am building a New Republic themed fleet around a Starhawk.

I was really hoping Rise of the Skywalker to feature these ships,

well my eyes are on the Mandalorian now,

Force enemy to speed zero, still get one defence token with concord, send int all the Bwings you can muster. Squad speed 2... Think it's slow... Not as slow as I'm gonna make you. 😈

As some e stated a while back and in a different thread:

It depends on who you ask. Rebel alliance stated that the New Republic was formed shortly after Endor... (I think). Empire still view them as revels until there surrender at Jakku.
