Sloan new list, but with RESERVE HANGER DECKS!!!

By Lem213, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

So, I adapted my old sloan list with the new Reserve Hanger Decks, and with a Gozanti in place of the Raider I just flew around the entire battle last tourney. The idea is if I go first, I get to snipe a ship with 4 ties and Maarek, which either delete some shields or I can clear some defense tokens for the Avenger. If I get second player, then I get my cards(probably gonna swap out cap the VIP later). I am going to fly the Avenger side by side with the Stronghold, keeping every squad in Strongholds happy bubble, and the Suppressor will probably just chill up front with the squads. And then, you know, squads do their Sloany thing, and the Avenger pew pews. Let me know what you think, and what I should replace the yellow card with? Planning on bringing this to the RPQ in like 2 weeks.

NEW NEW SLOAN, Good maybe? Probably.

Boosted Comms required, otherwise you can't use the great speed of your fighters.

Yeah, Boosted Comms > Expanded Hangar Bay.

The other thing that irks me is the lack of howlrunner.

I know you need to double down on the generics for the reserve hangar decks to work, but I think howlrunner would more than pay back her points when you run into an opposing list that uses squadrons.

To go one further, the lack of total squadrons. It’s not unreasonable to assume all the RHDs will go off, but they’re speed 4 and every squadron that dies before shooting won’t be shooting for the round, which makes a Sloane mirror match very, very ugly, especially if they have Squall.

I think the idea has potential, but would recommend looking at Interceptors backed by Howl, maybe a couple of the crazier aces (Mauler, MJ.) That way you’re trading up against pricy squadrons and the generics still do well enough against most flak.

For yellows, Planetary Ion Cannon and Fighter Ambush have very strong synergy, but both have drawbacks; Fighter Ambush costs you deployment and carrier lists can use it against you, while Moralo is a problem for PIC (the only one, but still significant.)

Fixed it up, got Saber squad and Zetrik as squad defense, the 5 hull and 2 brace should keep the rest of the ties alive for some time, and to engage Zetrik is to be hit by the counter from Dengar, and as many tie fighters as it takes to destroy enemy fighters.
