Hey, I’ve been out of the Meta for a while. B-Wings have always been my favorite ships.
What are some good B-Wing lists?
Thanks!

Braylen and Ten are both solid, keep them cheap. Crack Shot, probably maybe Predator Ten. Maybe Hull/Shield; maybe even Stealth on Braylen (his reroll means he'll probably get an evade out of that Stealth Device die, which means it's probably as good as a Shield, but maybe can go you an extra attack or two if you're lucky). Try to fly at least 4 ships. Leia U-Wings are still solid.

If you want to fly generics, maybe 2 Selfless Blades along someone like Wedge, and a 4th ship of some kind (Leia U-Wing maybe).
Alternately, 2 Blue B-Wings, 2 Blue X-Wings, and your choice of whatever fits in the last 36 points (Zeb Attack Shuttle is a 15 red dice list; generic HWK could bring Leia). Going mixed B-Wings and X-Wings kinda gets best of both worlds. X-Wings can move fast while out of combat with that boost, but B-Wings have the slightly better defensive statline, and the nice linked barrel roll.
Those two probably aren't really meta lists, but are almost surely playable lists.
I have seen people run four fours, aka:
It has some decent action economy and a few points of wiggle room. You can fit Dorsal and Veteran Gunner on Y-Wing or perhaps some torpedoes on the X-Wing.
Four Blue Squads with Tractor Cannon, Ion Cannon, and Electronic Baffle is fun
Friend of mine runs Hera with Saw, AP5 and 2 Generic B's with FCS. It's vulnerable to some things but does really well in a damage race has decent arc coverage.
Surprise AP5 dump is always entertaining. His coordinate is really very good with all the stress.
Didn't even have a turret last time and still seemed decent. There's a few points to play with that don't really seem to impact much.
Ten Numb with Elusive, Advanced Sensors and Proton Torps is beastly at all ranges. Throw a Heavy Laser Cannon on if you're good at lining up the bulls-eye arc.
I've won a few matches with this list. Some might like to peel a lot of the upgrades off to squeeze in a 4th ship, but I enjoy futzing around with heavily-modded triples lists.

Jake and Garven team up well together; Jake moves first and gets Boosts in where he can, which both positions him in unexpected ways thanks to Daredevil and triggers his ability, letting Garven focus; then Garven can give that token back to Jake after it's used. Ten just does what Ten does; I've chewed right through FO TIES in one or two rounds with heavily-modded torp attacks more than once.

Hmm heavily loaded and 11 point bit with nothing higher than ini 4... and that's quite the ship you can fit in there if you strip them down for efficiency.

You get a very mobile Focus dispenser, you get a less mobile Focus sharer, you get a clumsy Lock dispenser that can reload torps and a very agile although slow pew pew monster.

I have a similar list that uses Ten Numb with Squad leader and replaces Graven with Braylen. Activated in the right order you have 4 double moded attacks.
i use squad leader on ten as well. such a powerful combo. you can run him along side dutch and they can both have a focus and a target lock using the coordinate and dutch's ability.

Do you mind sharing the activation order? Try as I might, I just couldn't figure out how to get 4 double-modded attacks w/ Braylen, Ten + SL, Dutch, and Jake.

Dutch - TL and share with Ten
Ten - Coordinate Jake to TL
Jake - Barrel roll—>Jake focus, Boost —> Dutch focus
Braylen - can go at anytime where he can focus —> barrel roll into position

Awesome! And now that you mention it, I think this could work too:
Ten - Coordinate Jake to Focus -> Boost -> Dutch Focus
Jake - blue maneuver to clear stress, then TL
Dutch - TL and share with Ten
Braylen does Braylen things
(same core concept, but here Jake gets to move and then TL, which might help bring more targets into range for the lock)
This made my day
I've chased Rebel quad double-mods for a while now, never realized all the pieces were right there. Thank you for showing the way!

Your build works if you drop Daredevil from Jake and R4 from Dutch (and then you can even add Crack Shot to Braylen).
This version also fits, which sacrifices the initial alpha strike w/ Proton Torpedoes in exchange for Dutch being able to circle the fight and keep pumping out 3-dice attacks and even more health on the two B-wings:

Downgrade Protons to Plasma and you have mostly the same setup when engaging shielded targets. Overall sacrificing 1 Attack Die on Y-Wing and fitting into 200 point limit. On a side note, keeping an A-Wing close to an Y-Wing is extremely difficult. Their dials are super different and considering you want to do two mobility maneuvers to engage both double mods, its a bit of a stretch.
I am quite curious how B-Wings will feel, once they gain the Stabilised S-Foils bonus actions. Ten Numb will be able to Roll > Red Lock for a Stress (Focus) and a Lock. Braylen gets still his Roll > Red Focus from the ship actions. Also the ability to doubletap with cannons is amazingly good. Imagine doing a Roll > Red Lock on Ten just to engage with Tractor Beam into Heavy Laser Cannon/Autoblasters. Or even Jamming Beam into HLC o Autos. I expect the rumor of 12 points cost for the S-Foils to be true, as they have no real downside to them. Braylen can even become a decent Torpedo Carrier with the Red Reload from closed wings.

Braylen with foils, HLC & Advanced Proton Torps with red reload sounds crazy.

I think they will be mostly played with Tractor Beam. Lowering enemy defence and dictating range of engagement is massive. Given they are I4 mostly... But the new I5 can force other I5s onto rocks to prevent return fire. I am eagerly awaiting what Gina will be costed at.
Am somewhat surprised they made her I5 and not I4, considering her history with Braylen.

I proxied Gina with Foils, HLC & jamming beam, AP-5, Cassian & Wedge. A lot of decisions around managing stress/coordinating, but was fun. I think the real fun would be to replace Wedge with Braylen.

Braylen will be massive with S-Foils. Although I would slap "Dutch" there as well. Braylen can then do a Focus > Red Roll and gain Lock from "Dutch" for free. Then he can attack with primary + cannon, having reroll on both attacks from his pilot ability and one Focus Token to spend. Honestly the requirement of Lock to trigger the S-Foils is why I think, "Dutch" Vander will be a must have with B-Wings.
A fun and annoying to Aces build might be Stab-Foils with Tractor Beam and Ion Cannon. You first lower their Agility due to Tractored and then force the into 1 Straight and Focus. Considering the B-Wing superior turn around power... You can just lead them in front of you all day long. I can see Soontir, Vader or even the likes of Poe or the Jedi having a serious trouble fighting this. Other than engaging with another ship, they are helpless to counter you, once you park behind them. Especially if the B-Wing is Braylen with rerolls on both attacks.
I had fun with this list:
Jan flies way behind, the Bees in formation and do the job. Whoever has NOT the bullseye gets the extra die. Lots of damage, lots of health + selfles.
if the opponent jumps over the Bs and try to kill Leia - turn around and free shots for them.
Leia is nice, but obviously the Bs don’t depend on her.
Only 'trick' is to leave Jan&Leia way enough behind: once the knife fight starts the bees stay on the same spot, but the HWK can’t go slow...

Can sub Jan Ors for AP-5 with Leia and have Braylen and Ten with 63 points left to play with. Depending on the cost of Stab-Foils, you can equip both B-Wings with one and fit "Dutch" Vander into the mix for those Locks. I heard various rumors on their cost, but I think they will be at least 8 if not more. They are comperabe to Veteran Turret Gunner in terms of power and also add more actions, but force you to take and burn a Lock without offering a reroll.
It's speculation based on similar effect cards, but I would seriously think, the Stab-Foils will be over 10 points. Otherwise they are making non Stab-Foils B-Wings just so so...
Haha, S-foiles are 2 points!
I thought they would be free...
Funny, that some people would’ve priced them at 10 points...
thoughts:
- you have to spend a lock! When I fly Bees they NEVER lock; so that’s a new challenge.
- you can’t spend the lock! And even if you have FCS, you can only reroll one die from the first attack (and makes the B more expensive)...
- you have to equip a cannon! And all the cannons went up in points...
- plus: hyperspace cannons are so so...
A good list? With lots of Bs?? Hm.....

I'm hoping to try this Hyperspace-legal list out on a table soon:
Braylen Stramm (52)
Autoblasters (3)
Stabilized S-Foils (2)
Ship total: 57 Half Points: 29 Threshold: 4
Ten Numb (48)
Tractor Beam (3)
Stabilized S-Foils (2)

"Dutch" Vander (40)
Ion Cannon Turret (5)
Ship total: 45 Half Points: 23 Threshold: 4
Jek Porkins (45)
Servomotor S-Foils (0)
Ship total: 45 Half Points: 23 Threshold: 3
Total: 200
I wanted one named B to have Autoblasters and the other to have Tractor Beam, but couldn't decide who gets what for the longest time. Ended up putting Autoblasters on Braylen hoping to present a tough choice for the opponent when I spread out the B's: ignore Braylen and risk uncancellable crits, or commit to him and waste some time on his defensive re-rolls while the other ships flank.
The plan for Dutch is to keep the ICT pointed sideways and have him circle the action while handing out locks to whoever needs it the most.
Initially I was disappointed that I had to use Porkins instead of Garven Dreis (who might hand out a bonus Focus or two), but Jek provides the option to still get modded shots (double-modded w/ Lock from Dutch) after a k-turn or t-roll, which could be neat.
P.S. In extended, Jamming Beams go on the B's for sure. And Dutch's ICT can drop down to a Dorsal, then you can either replace Porkins w/ Garven Dreis or add a couple Crack Shots.
Two ideas coursing through my brain right now... Extended for both, but... Semi Aces and Semi Beef... Semi being... I am not 100% sold on either.
First idea is to have somewhat mobile Aces that can deliver lots of pain. Both Nora and Gina have a potential for shooting twice. Gina can shoot Proton Torpedoes at range 2-3 to be a pain in the ***. But Nora wants to go in close and personal. R4 Astromechs should help to shed the Stress given by Gina. I am not 100% sold on it, but I see some potential in the list.
Second idea is to use two mobile blockers to set up enemies for a deadly barrage of incoming fire. Braylen with Stab-Foils is just deadly. Sabine is extremely agile and can end up in surprising positions. She also has the possibility to do a Roll > Evade then a blue maneuver and do an action still. I am tempted to swap Dorsal Turret for Targeting Computer, but I feel like the turret will allow for higher on target time. In best case scenario, you are dropping 21 attack dice at the enemy.
