Too many ISD options...

Hi everyone!

I am kind of noobie to this awesome game, and can't decide between all the options the ISD offers me...

I have narrowed it down to three different options:

For my taste you don't have enough squads, the guys I play with always bring tons of them. My most winningest fleet has been Thrawn 2 ship. Similar idea to Tarkin in some ways, see below.

Sometimes I'll mix up the fighters, switch in Strategic Advisor and out Pryce.

Thanks for the advice! I have been wondering about Thrawn also, so I might give him a chance :)

My problem with the squadrons is that I am a little short on them. I only have the core, Imperial pack I, Scums and RitR, so I can't take all the awesome ones I would like... For now 😅

Really depends on your local meta. The folks around me usually run(as in like 2 months ago when I was able to play with them, feels bad) a couple aces or no squads, and I know some places are just all squads, so find out what the locals run, and counter it. One of the fun parts of armada is the constantly changing meta. 1 person comes up with a great list, someone makes a list to beat it, so someone makes a list to beat that list, and the meta keeps changing. And, there is nothing wrong with a good ol Tie fighter swarm!

Flak. More specifically, SSD flak. Speaking as someone who loved to fly mainly generic Sloane TIEs for the better part of a year (and tabled a 14 TIE swarm 4 games ago,) we've hit the tipping point where certain matchups are a brick wall to them. :(

Stronghold Quasar 1 is noice for protecting your tie swarms.

If it didn’t need to be so close to the action I’d agree. But it’s required to be almost in medium range of what it’s bombing, without durability or easy nav commands. As things stand I prefer Squall to keep the Quasar as far away from the target as possible, and aces, to be more independent and command efficient given Squall’s limitations.
