And I don't think anyone should. For the reason stated. Which you carefully left out of the quote.

I also left out that you more or less called me petty.

Just because you can't feel for the opposite viewpoint doesn't make yours superior.

Neither does feeling slighted that you can’t have something you could easily get through other means.

Personally, while it's cool, I can let the Inferno-themed non-ship stuff slide with no regrets. OTOH, I'd be very sad to miss out on the model (again}.

Aren’t you pretty close to Adepticon? I don’t recall but I could have sworn I remember you were made it last year.

Could always go for the side events and pick up swag that way?

I may have missed it but is there no 2020 GQ playmat this year??? After being able to buy a enhanced qualifier ticket the past two PAX's in order to get that years mat I can only assume they have done away with this???

You are petty in my opinion, no doubt about it, if you'd rather have no ship for anyone just because you can't have it. Besides, I do feel disgust for the opposite viewpoint. That's something.

Looks that way, as there was only one ticket price for the event. Sad, really!

I like that they're giving each year's prize support a theme, but I think this year's is lacklustre. Lots of Rebel lists might put Luke or Biggs or Porkins in, or even the Red Veteran, but how many Imperial lists besides the TIE Swarm run any of Inferno? Also the frosted cards all being generics is slightly disappointing; though it'll probably prevent the frenzied collect/resell mayhem from last year's cards.

I like the addition of aces high pods. That seems the most well received multiplayer game so far (probably because it's the easiest to organize and play).

Anyone new to pod play, I suggest you be more egalitarian in distributing the prize tickets. The "winner take most" approach that FFG seems to indicate for Aces High seems like it's ripe to create "feels bad" moments in what should be a funsies format. I also heartily recommend the alternative rules where first player rotates each turn.

Yeah, 8 tickets (the equivalent of 4 wins) is a lot so I could see that getting more competitive than they want. I can see people demanding judges.

People are just going to farm the tickets anyways and split the tickets.

Correct - that’s how side events go. At worlds they made a rule you could only sign up for a pod after enough hours had passed you must have played them out fairly. Like a 3 hour minimum delay.

Some folks got a bit excessive on the farming and ruined it for everyone by going more or less straight to final salvos and then divvying tickets fairly.

Our group did something similar at Adepticon last year. Only did it once, it was like buying tickets, kinda dumb and boring.

Our group at world's (and a few others) got the judges to let us run our pods as aces. Everyone actually played games and we were all able to get a fair number of tickets while actually playing games and having fun. I played a pod the day before where we all did jousts to get through games as fast as possible and really didn't enjoy it at all.

I did both on the same day of worlds (the day 1A I wasn’t playing the main event). Agreed - I preferred playing for real anyway.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooo

My Cartel Marauders! 😞

I gotta say, I'm not a fan of these alt-arts where they just remove the background from the normal ship art. The backgrounds on the ship cards are really cool, and complement the ship image, so it's a shame to lose them. The alt-arts which actually show the pilot (like the fantastic Ketsu from 1.0) are much cooler.
