I based this on the list that has Poe and Finn rather than Jess and Rose. However, I was hoping to be able to power up Rose with 3PO, give Cova extra dice with Leia, and do the same with Jess by staying close to the rest of the group.

It looks good (to me; on paper) but haven't flown it yet. I will be tomorrow night. Open to suggestions!

Looks tough and capable. Not sure you need much of anything on jess though. Strip her down, and Rose or Greer becomes a T70 like Bastian.

I myself, stripped everything down to add a 5th ship.

I really like your list, but what I was going for was lots of tokens and dice manipulation, so do you think the 5th ship is better or keeping everything beefy but tweaked?

I was actually thinking of taking Black One off of Jess and giving Cova Advanced Optics with a point to spare.

The only this Jess needs is a BB astromech and even thats a stretch. She functions just fine without anything. Personally my favourite 5 ship build is. :

Out of curiosity: ppl seems to take Nova Covell with Leia crew (57 pts) more often than next T70.

Is Nova really better than - let's say Composure Temmin (55 pts) - or it's just desire to filed something different?

Every time I try to build a squad Temmin (mobile gun - often double modded - with tallon/k-turn option) looks better than Nova (stationary/reverse moving gun).

Is there something I don't see?

I think its that Cova is a toolbox. She is a 3/2/5/3 ship when doing red manuevers and can jam and coordinate when needed, on top of using leia on a friendly for white kturns when needed. Not to mention the stops and reverse moves make her a bit more unpredictable.

Right, what @wurms said Leia means Finn can k-turn and still get his Focus(es), even without paying for Pattern Analyzer. Or Snap can now k-turn/t-roll and still do his Composure trick for double-mods that turn. Gives you more options and possible moves the opponent has to account for, especially since Leia has no range restriction. Also, if Cova has both R4 and Leia, she can do a 1-hard, trigger her own ability and still get an action, and still have Leia available for a friend (or token stack w/ Focus + Force).
