Absolutely its JUST the Flagship.

Its "YOU".

Onyl after THIS SHIP deploys, it gains a token.

Because rememberm on Upgrades, whenever you see "YOU", you substitute the words "The Ship This Upgrade Is Attached To."

It does NOT mean "You, as a Player."

If I had a corvette for every-time Cmdr Agate and "you" was clarified...

I see a slight ambiguity here, is it

1: after deployment phase gain a total 1 token

or are they mad enough to mean

2: after you deploying each ship and each squadron, that ship or squadron gains 1 (non scatter) token

For the points it has to be #1, but I dunno

"You" refers to the ship the upgrade is on. So it happens right after her ship is dropped on the table.

You is always the ship is equipped too.

I think? Ask Dras.

If Wishes were Starships, even Farmers would Fly.

5 Minute Ninja!

The pack comes with 5 salvo tokens.
Everything we've seen so far only allows a Starhawk to go up to 3 possible salvo tokens (Agate+ Concord title). There are no extra defense tokens in the pack for the other titles (probably wisely).

Live stream today answered this - both the Starhawk and Onager are coming with a pair of upgrade cards, non-faction locked, that somehow do something with the Salvo tokens. They aren't talking about it, though, and would not elaborate, so...probably a release surprise.

I'm loving the Mark 2 in a Ackbar fleet... 😀

Are any of the list builders going to be updated? lol Are they even still around?

I believe Ryan Kingston has a standing rule that he only does so once he can get HiRes of all of them. Which is typically on release or close to.

He's otherwise continuing to update.

::shrug::

They're not someone I can go and bug locally.

Warlords is a bit incomplete with the programming for SSD stuff. Haven't used Fabs in a while. The iOS Armada Fleet Builder is maintained.

Yes, Armda Fleet Designer will be updated soon. I dunno when exactly.

My hot take

Its slow, and its front arc is only really that of the liberty, which is cheaper and speed 3 or 4.

The mc75 variants fully equipped are still cheaper, more flexible, and probably have more chance of getting a kill shot in.

It has no defence retro.

This thing is going to be best brawling with other big things that it can dual arc. Against squads and small ships its going to need a lot of help.

Like the Interdictor, its greatest strengths are going to be the things it can do, that nothing else can.

It has nearly twice the hull of the Liberty, though, and some truly sick flak attacks. Red dice range for anti-squad is no joke, especially since you'll likely want Linked Turbolaser Towers with it, which don't exhaust when used. (IE., aside from the obvious single-large anti-squad attack, you are alternatively still rolling a red die anyway, which you can reroll without cost if you would prefer to flak everything in range)

And with two officer slots, taking General Draven isn't as bad an opportunity cost as he'd otherwise be, which makes this really quite effective at picking off those key enemy aces as they enter the fringes of battle range...

Could you drop to speed 0 and use your tractor beam to force an opponent to drop to speed 0 right before you nail them with your front arc?

It happens at the end of your activation. So you might be able to set it up for another ship to shoot them, but the enemy ship's speed doesn't change until the Starhawk's attacks are over.

You can activate the hawk, attack, navigate down to speed zero, and then change the enemy ship’s speed to 0.

So if you have another ship that can still activate, that one can fire on the speed 0 ship. Otherwise you have to wait until your Hawk’s next activation to take advantage of speed 0 shenanigans.

So yes, but it's fiddly. Still, fun times if your SSD gets dropped to speed 0 and has no defence tokens...

I'll note that this isn't a unique upgrade. So if you are willing to spend the points, you can set up an economy with two of them where they alternate 0 speed tractor and front arc firing

Its almost as if they took ISDs, pulled them all apart, and then built a better ship out of the components, eh? :D

In other, better, games I play factions have identities and just letting everyone have everything is generally considered a no-no.

It looks like the Unity title is only countered by squads with HEAVY actually printed on their card, not inherited by intel. Am I reading that right?
