Nadiri Starhawk Article
Well Salvo just got a lot less interesting, and makes far less sense.
Use the rear arc for the return attack? Face to face with and ISD that fires into my front arc and I return fire with my rear arc.
I suppose it does keep the token in check as far as damage goes though.

Ya it’s kinda silly. It could have just been half that arc

“Printed armament” is kinda lame too. No Spinals or QBTs.

They probably went with the rear arc choice to prevent the Salvo token from killing off small-base ships from the game.
This ship sounds literally broken when used with Raddus.
That point cost though. Wow
Everything I'm seeing about the Starhawk makes me smile. This is going to be a fun ship to fly in Rebel fleets.
At first glance through the article, it looks like the
Starhawk
might be the closest the Rebels get to a Super Star Destroyer.
Two officer slots, 14 hull, high shields everywhere but the rear arc, and the ability to have 6 defense tokens when you combine the Krysta Agate admiral card and any one of the title cards.

Does this mean the live stream will only feature the Starhawk and not the Onager? 😥
I'm a little saddened that the only difference between the Mk I and the MK II is dice, I was hoping for something more variable like the Mc80s/mc75 but that's not a huge gripe. I'm excited for this ship. 3 titles means I
have
to buy 3 right? Yup, 3 it is!
I can't wait for the 800 point match between 3 of these and an Executor II...

They could still be typing or proofing the other article.

I might be wrong on this, but 3 Starhawks can't actually destroy an SSD (in lore) right? The Starhawks only won because they dragged the SSD down to the planet. In space they would have no chance, right? I mean they are just like 1 and a half to 2 ISDs glued together and 6 ISDs would have no chance against an SSD.

Ship to ship, not likely, but let's not forget that an SSD was destroyed on screen by a single A-wing.... I'm not ruling ANYTHING out in the SW universe. lol

The actual proposition is difficult...
The SSD was protected by Star Destroyers... Plus, one (The Amity, I believe) was destroyed when it was Rammed by an ISD... Which lead to the effective disablement of the Concord.
In the Fluff, we'd never know if they could have, as we're never presented with the Scenario (3 on 1)
Whoa minimum 140 points.
But also I cannot wait to use this with Raddus. 😁

Yeah but since we’re all nerds here we know the lore now makes the distinction that a coordinated fleet action took out the Executor, with the A-Wing providing the decisive blow.
Similarly I don’t think even three Star Hawks could take down a competently manned SSD.
The only reason they brought down Ravager was its position in low orbit. Other than disabled engines, Ravager was still very much in the fight. If it was further out from Jakku I could see the battle going easily in the Empire’s favor.
However Jakku was designed as a slaughterhouse for the Imperial Remnant in every way and even then they still held out against the Rebels for months.
Despite the battle being framed as this glorious victory for the New Republic, I see it more as the best example we have of the might of the Imperial war machine. They fought exceedingly well they just never had a chance at winning from the start.

The counterpoint there being that if the Ravager was further out from Jakku, the Star Destroyer Escort Screen would have been patchier, as it would have had to defend from more angles, rather than having the Planetary Mass being a Wall...
Pros and Cons, after all.
Hey, now the repels get an ISD, and it hits harder. Yikes.

Its almost as if they took ISDs, pulled them all apart, and then built a better ship out of the components, eh?

nonononono, don't engage with him. He's trolling. He feeds off of people engaging with his argument 😂
Best bet, for people worried about the lack of an article for the Onager, is that this one went up early. Betting we will see an article for the Onager around the time of the stream.
The article did say that the onager would have the same super weapon slot, but implied that the upgrade it could take in that slot would add more firepower. Wonder what it is?
So... Squadrons with salvo tokens? We’re just not gonna talk about that or wildly suggest which squadrons they would go on?

what?

I really doubt squadrons would ever get a salvo token since they allready have access to the counter keyword.
