Han on a CR-90 could be interesting. I've considered it a few times. Provided you got a range have range and lock with turbolaser battery, it potentially could let you absolutely wreck something before your opponent gets a chance to do anything. On the other hand, using Han to fire the Point Defense Battery would be kind of silly. After all, you'd fire a single 2 die attack at init 7, then would be incapable of using the point defense turret's other bonus attacks. So, what would be the goal of this build? Is it "strip tokens from an enemy ship before they can attack", or is it "try to remove an enemy ship before they can attack"?

Doesn't seem too good to me. Han locks out any other turret attacks from that arc, so you'd be down to just that one attack and primary.

Even using it to attempt to snipe down a target before it can attack doesn't make much sense. Turbolaser range is awkward for that. Nothing else in terms of hardpoint/turret weapons is particularly hard-hitting.

I suppose there's a Both/And argument... Imagine Han CR-90, Roark boosting someone like Braylen Stramm or a Saw/Passive Sensors Lothal Rebel, VTG Kanan and Proton Torpedo Luke both with Heightened Perception. That's a lot of Init 7 attacks, and typically strong ones. Points are fairly tight though. I can't really imagine it being a good list, even if it is some silly Init 7 fun.

Say... Heightened Perception/Veteran Turret Gunner Kanan, while probably bad in standard X-Wing, might not be bad in bigger games. He's not likely enough to have good early shots in standard, but that might be different in Epic. Eh, probably still too expensive.

Strip. Then kill if you can chain anymore.

The problem is that the only other gunner cards I'm aware of that give you a bonus turret attack trigger after you make a primary attack. Which is at init 0. Or they lock you out of using that turret again for the round. Or both. Not sure, but you might be limited to only one such bonus attack anyway.

The complications and cost surrounding gunner Han are why I suggest just using Roark

The cr-90 can then leverage all her guns (and hotshot) at a ridiculous I 7, and the hwk is either a good, cheap support or the pretty swanky Moldy Crow

Also, put Nien, optimized core, and Saw on cr-90

Great idea! But what if someone doesn't have a hwk? Or if for some reason they don't have Nien or Saw? In fact, right now if someone doesn't have a Hawk, they probably don't have Saw either.

My main issue with relying on the hwk is what happens when someone catches it with a turbolaser battery.

If that happens, I'd imagine the Hawk does a flawless impersonation of a swan.

Or just keep him back. He has a massive range for his ability; the cr-90 has a massive range in general
