Star Wars: Golden Age of Solar Sail

I'm about to launch a mini-campaign based around a simple premise: Treasure Planet meets Star Wars. Solar sailing, space pirates, hidden treasure, all that good stuff!

The campaign is set a few hundred years after the Ruusan Reformation, and official demilitarization of the Republic. The galaxy is at peace, the Sith and Mandalorians are both defeated, and the Republic is expanding more into the Outer Rim. Ships of the age no longer require heavy armor, due to how heavily arms are restricted, and the fuel efficiency benefit of large solar sails has off-set their vulnerability to attack, due to galaxy-wide peace.

However, a new problem has begun to arise in the process of the Outer Rim Expansion Effort. Pirate attacks on the supply lines are crippling expansion attempts, and Outer Rim settlements are feeling abandoned by the Core Worlds due to how few supplies are reaching them.

As tensions rise between the Core and Rim worlds, the Jedi are sent to investigate these pirate attacks, and put a stop to the organized pirate fleet. Little do they know, the fleet is lead by a pair of Banite Sith, seeking to disrupt the Republic and undermine its expansion.

I've had a lot of fun building this setting, and I'll share more details on here in the coming weeks as I finalize starship stats, and as my players progress through the story.
