...what the hell is a ploin?

I've seen it in a fair bit of BL novels, and can't for the life of me determine what a ploin is...and it SOUNDS familiar...grrrrrr......

It is an amazing fruit rich in almost every vitamine and boasting a long shelf-life taking over the roll of oranges abord naval vessles as well as the noble pear in Gothic slang. More about this amazing lop-sided fruit can be found in the IH, pg 165
