Liking Star Wars is better than not liking Star Wars

By SenltonGomes, in Army Building

I rewatched AOTC yesterday for the first time in a couple years. After watching, I can still easily say that’s it’s my least favorite SW movie but **** do I love a lot of it. Obi-Won’s investigation into Jango and eventually learning about the Clone Army. Watching Palpatine be the puppeteer in hooking Anakin and Padme up while also giving himself emergency powers. All that is very compelling stuff. Sure, the anakin and padme stuff is cheesy and hard to watch at times but I don’t let that negativity effect my feelings on the movie. The same can be said about all the other movies as well. There are things I don’t like in each of them but I focus on the things that I do like because it makes it more fun. Being positive is better than being negative and I wish all SW fans could see that 10.0.0.0.1 192.168.1.254

Most SW fans have embraced the PT, I think. A lot of the animosity came from some of the goofier elements, and over the years many of us have learned to just laugh at those things and enjoy the good stuff. After all, it's not like the PT retold the same story without any reason or purpose, completely undermined the content and characters that came before, or destroyed one of the most beloved characters in the history of fiction seemingly out of spite for its fans.... you know, or anything like that.

There is nothing to enjoy about the abortion that was the last sequal movie though. Rian Johnson did a fantastic job of screwing that movie into oblivion.

I hate that movie. HATE IT. I dont normally have that sort of energy to focus toward movies I dislike....its not worth it. However, I suspend that guideline for that pile of poop.

@Jester8908 @Deadshane I'm no fan of the sequels, personally, but @SenltonGomes specifically called attention to the Prequels, so let's stay on topic.

I re-watched them all over the last few days and I have to agree. Man, some of those parts are hard to sit through, but overall it was good to sit and paint my own clones with those on. It does have some pretty awesome moments though, and it's the only time we get to see real mass combat between to real armies (though the entire Hoth sequence from ESB is still my favorite "battle moment" in the series). It's really an awesome era, and it's also nice that we got The Clone Wars TV series out of it cause those are also really good. I've been rewatching those on Disney+ and its some of the best prequel material out there, honestly!

I'm pumped for the new seasons of Clone Wars!

What does this have to do with Army Building?

Nothing, really.

Though I do hope to see more of the Prequel troopers and vehicles in Legion. It would be cool to see actual functional units of Paratroopers or Clone Commandos to take the field with. Point cost would probably get high, though.

christ, yet another "who hates/likes the ST/PT" thread after the one in the main forum was thankfully locked? This should be locked as it has absolutely nothing to do with Army Building.

A discussion about non-OT Star Wars movies that uses the word "abortion" within the first 5 posts?

Our Lord and Savior has nothing to do with army building either, but back on topic I believe the OP was thinking of making a list that is exemplifies that hopeing for A Jango Fett with Dooku list against say Obi-wan, Anakin, and Mace Windu.
