Over the weekend I played a game as Black Panther vs Rhino. During the game Rhino got the "Tough" status card. When my turn came I had all four upgrades for Black Panther and three Wakanda Forever cards. My question is, after playing the first Wakanda Forever card would the first upgrade card to do damage remove the Tough status and then the rest of the upgrades actually take away hit points or would it only take away the tough card after the "sequence" is finished and another activation of Wakanda Forever be needed to do damage to his hit points?

You choose in which order to activate the upgrades, therefore the damage is not simultaneous, its one upgrade resolving at a time in a sequence. The first upgrade in the sequence that would deal damage removes the Tough card, the next deals physical damage to Rhino.

Thank you. That’s the way I thought it would play out but using the grim rule I played it the other way. In the end Rhino was defeated anyway!
