Defense After Defending a Villain Attack

By Vayman, in Marvel Champions: The Card Game

If your Hero chooses to defend a Villain attack and then one of his minions engaged with your hero attacks, does the Hero's Defense value still apply even though they are now exhausted from the villain attack?

Nope.

Ouch, that's rough. Thanks, I've been doing it wrong.

To expand on that slightly, your Hero's defense only applies if you choose to exhaust them to defend from an attack. Even if you don't defend against the Villain, the minions will generally do full damage when they attack.

Got it. Yep, I was doing that part correctly: Exhaust to get the DEF. My mistake was carrying that DEF into the minion attack. After re-reading the rules, I can see it's clear. Thanks to you both for helping me along.
