I'd go Crack Shot. Maybe Predator to Crack Shot on Duchess for a bid.

I would. This set up doesn't care if it flies first or last. The only ship that wants to fly after is "Duchess" due to the Ailerons. Otherwise just slow roll with the X1 and threat blob with Fighters using the Striker to flank.
