Firespray in Separatists or Jango in Scum?

There’s only one example of this, and one example of a convention seller/promo.
I think it’s a stretch to say new paint will only be in the realm of tournament prizes. There haven’t been any “new to 2.0“ releases around long enough to merit a new expansion box.
i could see a new Firespray model offered, particularly if it was dual faction or was CIS. I don’t know if or when it’ll be done, but I’m not so willing to write off new 2.0 repaints.

Rebel Z-95? HWK for both Rebel and Scum? Rebel ARC? Scum Y-Wing? Tournament prizes only? Probably not! I reckon they'll either get a release with an appropriate paint job or not get a release at all.

Simply giving the 2e Jumpmaster a third attack die with their turret would be interesting. The combination of only one turret arc, rotating only on a red action, and awkward blues, would have been really interesting. Maybe omit the gunner slot from the ship to lock out Agile Gunner. A 3-red turret that gets mods and a rotate every round would be wicked good on a ship which didn't have the Jump's dial. Jump dial would make it unique.
The Gunner slot was already added - JM5K 2.0 didn't have it on release in the Conversion Kits - and that's the only thing that makes the ship marginally more playable at this point. Believe me - I have a soft spot for the JM, and have been trying to make it work ever since the much-nerfed 2.0 edition appeared. Losing the crew slot with the title hurts the ship terribly, but at least with a gunner you can get some decent effects.
However, to get back to the OP, I don't think we'll see Jango at all. For Separatists, he would be an oddity in the faction, since the Firespray is so far outside of their identity. Also, If I remember correctly, there wasn't even any open warfare between the CIS and Republic until the end of Episode II, and Jango's death happened during the Battle of Geonosis, before we actually got into the Clone War. For Scum, he's marginally more possible, and I like your idea on the ship Title, @TedW - I probably wouldn't make it able to simply disappear an obstacle, but perhaps it can a) Spend a charge to cause a ship at range 0-1 of an obstacle to suffer 1 [Hit] damage as an Action or b) spend a charge to add 1 attack die if an enemy ship is at range 0-1 of an obstacle. It would be nice to see him in a card pack, along with the Title.

These all need releases. The Scum Firespray is already out.

Agreed. And there is a **** of a backlog (as noted above) if stuff that needs it's 1st 2.0 release.
Which is why I'm worried that "bling" (like a Jango Scum repaint) ain't gonna happen for the general public.
If we get a Jango livery Firespray, it will be because he's affiliated with CiS. Otherwise, he'll be a card for all and a tournament prize for some.

Or he could just be a year or two down the line while they’re catching up all the old ships into 2.0 releases plus adding new stuff in? I mean I expect this game to last a good long while on this edition.

Scum or Squad including Count Dooku? Barring that, yeah scum. Get us some of the other Clone Wars era S&V characters that don't get their own stuff worth using; Aura Sing, Hondo crew, another Firespray in my collection.
I would say Jango should be CIS. Yes, I know, the Scum players are already sharpening their pitchforks, but in my honest opinion Scum don't need 1+ Firespray pilot, while the CIS could use a decent medium base ship. With some caveats of course.
Have it be the Jango paint job. Give it the Slave I title for CIS but with a different ability, Jango, Aurra Sing, Hondo, and Young Boba as pilots, no generic. A bit like the ARC-170 for Rebels, Scum can have a Firespray but only named pilots.
I know all those characters can go into Scum...I know. However, CIS is the faction in need of expanding and I think some liberties can be taken to give us that. I mean I will be VERY suprised if we don't see Cad Bane in a Porax-38 Starfighter for CIS at some point.
Release a new Firespray pack in Scum with Jango, Aurra Sing, young Boba, and Hondo as pilots, Castas, young Boba, Hondo, and Bossk as crew or gunner.
A card pack for CIS and Republic pilots includes Jango for CIS, with young Boba as crew.
I think they should let any faction hire bounty hunters.
CIS, with ship repaint.
Scum pilot card in a future card pack.

Is it likely to become real? Not at all, at least not until X-Wing 3.0
It would sadly require far too many adjustments to factions and game components.
But the sole concept of mercenaries for hire for the highest bidder? It sounds awesome and perfectly fitting for the universe
Reminds me of the good ol' Star Wars Miniatures by Wizards of the Coast, the Fringe faction characters could be fielded in any faction. Good times
Sadly, balancing that would be a nightmare.
I would not be opposed to a Scum Jango et al, but I think Sepies need some love.

I've been thinking something similar to what's in Imperial Assault Skirmish basically since 2.0 started. An upgrade card that lets you pull in a limited option from another faction. It would have to be more balanced than the ones from IA and it would make it so you'd have to cost a lot of things outside of their current faction (which could lead to some extreme weirdness) but I like the idea at its base.
How it could actually be implemented is harder.
The things that make the most sense for me here are: Rebels and can pull in either Republic clones or CIS droids, no Jedi or Sith for obvious reasons. Imperial can bring in clone troopers from Republic. Resistance can pull a Rebel pilot in. First Order can pull an Imperial pilot in. Anyone can pull a Scum pilot in.
But all of this would need significant restrictions on what you can and cannot pull to keep balance reasonable.
So ultimately, it's probably not worth building it out. Still a fun idea, though.

Fun idea but a nightmare to balance. Just referencing S&V you're looking at having to cost them and the upgrade to take into account some really nasty cross faction synergies that crop up. Koshka hammer with a Sloane swarm or Death Troopers anvil anyone? Thani/Phasma/Frost maybe? Just a couple examples there.
