Physical Immunity

By alboy, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

When you fight a creature that has Physical Immunity, with a Magical Weapon, do you still add your Fight total or is Fight classed as Physical only.

Your fight value doesn't suffer from Physical/Magical Resistance/Immunity. Those monster abilities only affect weapon and spell bonuses.

Thanks SimonCopp. l thought that might be the case but just wanted confirmation.

You are also allowed to use just the fight value if you lack a magic weapon. This is handy if you have someone with a Fight value of 6 and are desperate enough (or blessed).

Seems odd given the Mythos (ie. hurting a ghost with your hand but not your gun), but will simply have to be explaned as the investigator finding "other means" via the enviroment.

oh yeah, your fists are magical and physical. but I always thought it funny to strangle a ghost (which I did once, actually, with McGlen).

Actually, fists aren't physical or magical, otherwise you couldn't fight with your fists something that has immunity to both, like the Colour Out of Space. Perhaps, your fists are psychological gui%C3%B1o.gif

Shake em hard enough and it'll intimidate em.
