When putting on my CR90 Corvette from 1.0 to the new Epic pegs, it seems they measure about 1/8 inch short distance from the connectors which results in one of the pegs coming loose on the base when I put the model on the stand. Also, the connectors are so loose when put into the model itself. Has anyone come up with these problems yet?
Epic Base Problems?

Seeing as how most of us haven't gotten our kits yet, I'm gonna say "no" in answer to your question.
I am seeing a craft knife and some glue in my near future.
I just checked my Raider. Same problem.
Yes,
I too have experienced the same issue with the new bases and the 1.0 huge ships. I also am finding the base punch is off by a millimeter or two, resulting in the cardboard forcing the pegs out of position, or forcing the cardboard to bow/lift up on one edge, not sitting flush on the base.
Lastly, the revised epic pegs in my conversion kit do not all want to seat securely in the base plastic. Some of them slide in and seat properly, but others do not and I am having to either force them into the base, or settle for having them sit slightly high off the base, which enhances the wobbly aspect of the loose fit into the Huge ship peg posts.... ☹️

That's odd, sad, and unfortunate. On the stream the fit looked very tight and all-around perfect. Hoping they're not all this way...

Agreed. It's not going to stop me from forcing those pegs in and putting those awesome Huge ships on the table, just a shame.
Will probably be able to get the cardboard issue resolved with some pen knife scraping on the base peg holes, so the base can fit over the peg holes properly, but again, too bad they didn't just work out of the box.
The pegs are the worst part though. They redesigned them to fix the turret arc indicator issue, (so the 1.0 epic pegs are incompatible with the new base plates), but there are some very tight tolerance issues with the interlocking plastic where peg is supposed to fit into base.
One of the many other good surprises though was the inclusion of the full on plastic maneuver template! A very nice upgrade from the cardboard 1.0 version.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. You have described it WAYYYY better than I did!
No issues here, but then I'm using a 2.0 CR-90.

streamers kits are often pulled from a test run or "proof run" done prior to the main line. these kind of issues usually come up when the larger run is passed on to the manufacturer and mistakes get made, so the streamer version could even be from a different factory chain.
I have noticed one minor issue. When taking my CR-90 off the base it didn't come off easily for some reason. So now the bit the front peg slots into on the ship is a bit loose. A bit of glue will fix that, when I get more glue. But it's something to watch out for. Always make sure you carefully pull off the ship from the base, and do so going strait up.
Suddenly VERY happy I 3D printed some different stands for my epic ships (these have cups that surround the plastic that the stock stands peg into)... looks like just the GR-75 will be using the FFG stands.
My plastic stands are fine, but as @Echoseven has mentioned, the holes in the ship token cardboard seem to be punched a smidge too close together. I managed to get both the Gozanti and C-ROC assembled for my first run of Passing Engagement, and they were nice and snug throughout the game. No cutting/shaving necessary.
EDIT: I haven't tried the corvettes yet, so I can't comment on those ship tokens.
Edited by ParakitorThe C-90's ship dials fit very snugly around the buttons. To the point I was afraid one of the Energy dials would be warped to Ohio and back. The turret indicators are a bit loose though. Which is fine, if you ask me.

The cardboard issue I can fix. The main problem is attaching the ships to the pegs. there is no friction between the model and the pegs. I can hold my model, put the pegs in and they fall right out. I don't want to put the ship on board and have it topple over every time it is touched. The only exception is my GR-75. Only 1 peg will stay in. And that is barely. I feel like I spent $30 on an inferior product. I'm getting increasently frustrated with FFG's quality lately.

My Huge ship, the pegs fit snuggly into the base. But only if put in facing a specific direction. Same is true of the pegs for my small and large bases. So I'm fine with that.
I did not check mine, tbh. Jbot also had the issue, though.

Well, I don't think that's a problem with the components in the new conversion kit. That's a problem with the pegs (EDIT: flight stand insertion points) on the GR-75. Those older models had a lot more variance in production. My C-ROC was snug the first time I put it on its stand, but now the front peg is loose - and that's a more recent model.
I don't know if it's possible to get replacement parts for the plastic bits on huge ships that the pegs insert into, but I think taking some pictures and asking customer service for replacements couldn't hurt. Should be relatively easy to remove them and glue the new ones in.

This is one reason all my 1.0 ships have never been disassembled once I got a good fit the first time. They all live in shoeboxes, assembled and ready to go.
This thread is kinda bumming me about needing new bases.
Has anyone tried using the 2.0 movement template with a 1.0 base?? Is it impossible, or is there a fudge factor that would be fine for uber-casual play?

Could you tell us more about your source for these in case it starts looking necessary to deal with issues?
My bases have similar issues, however I found that it occured most when I pressed one of the pegs all the way down into the base without the turret indicator. Once I installed indicators and the pegs weren't so tight I was able to get it in and put a ship on top. It still wasn't perfect, and was annoying, but the pegs, ship, and base held together for a game and the indicators swiveled fine. It seems the cardboard is slightly too short. Not perfect but playable. the bases and pegs continue to be the worst part of the game.

They re-did the pegs and some point in X-Wing 1.0. There is a distinct difference in the size and fit and how snug the pegs are across the board. The pegs not sticking is part of that issue. I constantly have to find the right pegs dor the right ships no matter their size. I've been playing since Wave 1 so I have all the variaties of pegs in my box - maybe I need to use a marker and color code the pegs that work with each other or something.
I've found taking a bit of a clear plastic bag, like a ziplock bag, and putting the pegs through it will solve the looseness issue.

There ya go! Due to the design of them, they don't work on the GR-75 and the rear of the Raider, BUT if you snap the cup off the mid-sized stand, it'll still snugly fit into the rear post area.

This one. I use layers of plastic wrap folded over to tighten the fit for my decimator and YT-2400. It works great but it’s not pretty. I’m going to try gluing it into the loose peg sockets.

I'm going to try that. Thanks for the mind jolt.
