Hello can i Maneuver - (Action) Passive Sensor - Boost from A/B and then Red Focus?
xizor afterburners and passive sensor

if i interpret you correctly, then no. afterburners triggers after you execute a maneuver. that's before the perform action step. you can link the afterburners boost to a red focus action, since the starviper has a boost linked to red focus. that would leave you stressed, though, so you would not get to perform an action during your perform action step.
oh no....

Erm, no. I'm pretty sure that's not right.
Linked action is a thing on its own.
If the action is done via another source (In this case afterburners) it has nothing to do with the printed boost->focus on the ship.
Or another way to see it, a card equipped with afterburners, that doesn't have boost on its action bar can still perform the boost action from the afterburner. Ie. the printed action bar boost and the upgrade boost are totally independant.
*Edit. See post below from
@AceDogbert
Turns out I'm just wrong.
So Xizor can
Maneuver -> Boost via afterburners -> Normal action.
or, more accurately to answer the OP question.
Maneuver -> Boost via afterburners -> Passive nothing action.
Neither of these options allows for the boost->focus (red)

From the rules reference, second bullet point of 'Linked Actions':
"A linked action can be performed after performing the action it is attached to even if that action was granted by a card effect or other game effect".
This means that a ship with a linked boost> red focus can perform a red focus action after triggering afterburners to perform a boost action.

And there I learn something.
Guess I'm so used to using Advanced sensors on the Starvipers, which do exclude the link I got things mixed up. Thanks.
*Edit. Unless I'm wrong on this one too. Is a linked action 1 action or two? I always counted it as two separate actions. But the wording you quoted makes me wonder now.

it's two separate actions, so no linked actions off of advanced sensors.

Strictly speaking, you are performing two actions. The link simply allows you to perform the second action after performing the first. However, in the case of Advanced Sensors, the card explicitly forbids performing any further actions in that ship's activation.
