Implementing the Ally Mechanic from ToL into other campaigns

By Funky_4LOM, in Imperial Assault Campaign

Hi all,

Just curious if anyone has implemented the Ally mechanic from Tyrants of Lothal into other campaigns with success. I recall seeing people mention it before, but did not really see any details behind it. It seems like the way that ToL is a little more “fair” and encourages the Rebels to actually bring an ally if they have one.

Has anyone tried this? How did it work?

Thanks!

works like a charm. No reason to not use the new rule from ToL

This is slightly off topic, but how does Murne's Company of Heroes work with the Tol rules? ex. ashoka costs 2 initially and 2 strain or costs 0 initially and 4 strain?

Reduce Ahsoka's deployment cost from 8 to 4 for Company of Heroes, then perform the math. So, the former.

Yup, we did that in Return to Hoth, along with anti-snowball rule (when a side loses 2 games in a row, that side gains the win bonuses AS WELL as the winning side).

Works perfectly, there was not a single mission where rebels didnt bring the Echo Base Troopers they got in the first mission.
