Too recent. Best chance of seeing the Razorcrest would be if/when FFG does a sourcebook for the post-RotJ era.

What new ships there are will probably largely be customized versions of existing vessels that belong to named characters, like the Falcon and Slave 1. Not unlike who the bulk of the new weapons in the Gears & Gadgets were the personal weapons of various named characters.

Just seen the Upcoming page currently says it is releasing in February. Never seen them give a month window ahead of time like that before.

Wonder if they will do a Rise of the New Republic and a Collapse of the First/Final Order....That is probably what is being discussed in the RPG dept. as we speak. And once they decide they will then assign to various Freelaancers.

I would be VERY surprised if a sequel trilogy book (or pair of books) was not already well under production.

Probably just notes. They dont get pre info so they could only build as they got new info. So only now can they outline it. But they probably cant keep

Assuming they go the Clone Wars route and have two books, I imagine they will already have the book set around the first half of the trilogy already well under way for the sole reason that they would not want to have a huge gap from TROS to that book's release (got to capitalise on its popularity as close as they can practically get).

From TFA and TLJ there's plenty to fill out a book - species (e.g. Abednedo, Delphidian), planets (Jakku, Takodana, Crait), ships (new X-Wings, TIE Fighters, Resistance Bombers, etc) and universal specs (things like "Resistance Veteran" or "First Order Defector", etc).

A book covering the TROS period would be much further off, I agree.

Unless they already had a green light from LFL, I doubt there’s much more than just ideas of what to include. Doing a lot of spec work with no guarantee of publication when there’s a couple of other active RPG lines under FFG’s roof doesn’t seem prudent.

We need only look at past comments and the timeline of the Force Awakens BG to know they don’t get info in a timely enough manner to capitalize on commercial synergy. (That BG was announced after TFA had even already hit home video, let alone released.)
