When a villain effect directs you to "shuffle the villain deck" do you shuffle the discard pile into the deck, or do you leave the discard pile as is and just shuffle the remaining cards in the villain deck? I couldn't find a clear directive, so I've been interpreting it as you leave the discard pile in place and shuffle the remaining deck only.

It makes a big difference, since the villain deck emptying adds an acceleration token, and reshuffling the discard pile into the deck would reset the timer.

Thoughts?

The wordings are very precise. If it says shuffle the deck, it means that. If it says to shuffle the discard pile into the deck, it means that.

I figured, yeah. But, to be honest, FFG is not always perfectly precise, stuff I thought was precise (in other games) was ruled differently in FAQs, so I wanted to make sure I didn't miss something that clarified it in the rules or something.
