Top list in local Meta/how to beat

So, my list leverages dodges for resiliance. Not uncommon for my Tauntauns (2units anyway) to be in your face late turn 1 with 4xdodge on board each. To stay safe they will also be the first 2 activations in the second turn so as to keep safe in hth.

Luke and the Wookies are the second wave, again dodging on the way in via leia. Its just too much Hth to have to deal with when you consider the speed, # of dodges, ability to ignore suppression(Luke Courage), and weight of CC dice incoming.

My brah has netted constant losses with lists similar to...

Krennic/2xDeath Trooper/2x shore trooper/2xStormtrooper/2xScout pistolas/1 E-Web

Thats decent firepower...he doesnt advance, but I destroy it in CC. Funny thing is...true local Meta, a very similar list won a recent tourney. Inexplicably, only 1 Rebel with no Tauntauns was played there in total. I had to miss the fun that day.

So, tldr, question is...is there a decent Imperial list that can punk the tauntaun list AND STILL be versetile enough for tournament? Im going to start letting my regular opponent play my list while I try to beat it with Imperials.

I DONT think the answer lies in Armor or Vader. Im thinking a Palpatine list may do the trick. Boba Fett with his cards and Mobility may be a problem. At any rate, answer will lie in another list with low/powerful activations. Activation Advantage is NO advantage vs the Rebel list.

Thanks for reading and any thoughts.

What about something like this? I wanted to test a list like this since a long time but with the little chances I get to play this game there's always a new unit that came out and I want to test first.

Darth Vader (190 + 20 = 210)
--Saber Throw (5), Force Reflexes (10), Anger (5)

Emperor Palpatine (210 + 20 = 230)
--Force Reflexes (10), Force Guidance (10)

Stormtroopers (44 + 24 = 68)
--DLT-19 Stormtrooper (24)

Stormtroopers (44 + 24 = 68)
--DLT-19 Stormtrooper (24)

Stormtroopers (44 + 24 = 68)
--DLT-19 Stormtrooper (24)

Imperial Royal Guards (75 + 31 = 106)
--Electrostaff Guard (25), Tenacity (4), Recon Intel (2)

Scout Troopers (Strike Team) (20 + 28 = 48)
--DLT-19x Sniper (28)

Commands:
And Now You Will Die (1), Implacable (1), Give in to Your Anger (2), New Ways to Motivate Them (2), An Entire Legion (3), Master of Evil (3), Standing Orders (4)

Basically you have the strike team and stormtroopers to attack from far away while Vader, Palpatine and the guards can make a lot of damage from close quarters. If you want you can even use "New ways to motivate them" to make the Royal Guards move three times before charging which gives them a really great range, and Palpatine making Vader move and attack besides from its own activation could be devastating.

As I said, I still couldn't play it, but sounds fun and I think it could work.

Palp indeed seems like a good answer. I like the idea but Im not sure how effective your list would be vs a shooty rebel. 7 activations...ouch. Maybe vs the tauntauns but not all comers.

I just knocked this up...

Palpatine looks decent. May try him.

(command hand off of course)

A list with Krennic Bossk and 2 units of death troopers seems like a good way to wreck those tauntauns before they have a chance to get anywhere

Tauntauns tend to be weak to standby and suppression, your list is strong against suppression but weak to standby especially range 3 standby. Standby goes off before all other triggers such as a dodge token or things like relentless. That gives a pretty decent chance to drop at least one tauntaun before it gets a dodge token. I would make sure cards like overwatch are in your opponents list, other than that I think your opponents list is actually fine.

For instance:

Krennic-strict orders

Shoretroopers x2

Deathtroopers x2

Scout strike team x2

Mortar team

Eweb x2

Gets you 10 activations, ability to suppress the tauntauns if relevant, ability to have 4 units with sentinel and a couple of units that ignore dodge tokens.
