Luke, Wedge, Thane, and rex?!?!

It's the standard holy trinity, but with rex as a mini-kanan to help with defense. 3 point bid for the high I, but no upgrades like R2 or predator

Thoughts?

Bold move not putting the S-foils on the X-wings. 🤔

Could be fun. I like just fly the ships lists. I would go ahead and use the other three points for something. Crack Shot on Thane and Wedge. Predictive Shot on Luke. Maybe Heightened Perception on Luke. I'm not much of a bidder though.

I think I'd rather fly Blount than Rex, peace through superior firepower. Another 3 dice primary ship to destroy the opposition.

If only rex had a talent slot, with snap he'd be hella good with a lot of the defensive rebel stuff.

Maybe AP5 in the Sheathipede instead of Rex?

If you’re not fussed about your bid, 2pts of them could be well spent on Jyn Erso crew for AP5.

Allowing Luke to have evade tokens makes him incredibly tanky.

Also coordinate for extra actions for Wedge are always welcome.

I like that.

I’ve done something similar with this by using a Squad Leader Phoenix A-Wing which comes in at 34 points.

I like the idea of AP-5 as well - Jyn Erso crew does open up potential for Luke defensively.

You can also do Zeb in the Attack Shuttle - leaves 1 point for Crack Shot on Wedge/Thane. This does not allow the double modded Wedge shots though.

I’ve also run Wedge + Luke + Garven + Jake but found that Garven’s ability did not synergize well with the way I flew the squad.

Super fun squad - you can check out an older Biophysical article in which he talks about a similar squad before the last points change. Thane’s ability is solid when he is unmodified - makes his attack potentially meaningful even without tokens.
