Red Castle Games is hosting a series of Rebellion in the Rim campaigns, each named after a different Star Wars movie. This is our second campaign and is titled Return of the Jedi. It has 6 players.
REBELLION IN THE RIM CAMPAIGN 2: RETURN OF THE JEDI
Can a single death spark a galactic rebellion?
Employing over half of Sullust’s population, the massive SoroSuub Corporation had recently overthrown the planet’s democratically elected government, essentially transforming Sullust into an industrial dictatorship with a single buyer – the Empire. At the same time, SoroSuub’s board of directors issued Proclamation 137d, declaring their allegiance to the Empire and denouncing the Rebel Alliance.

In less than 6 months, what was once a source of pride for all Sullustans was now a point of contention, even anger, as the working conditions inside the corporation’s starship factories steadily deteriorated. As workers died and the populace’s anger intensified, a group of Sullustan’s finally decided to speak out. Taking their protests to the streets of Pinyumb, the Cobalt Laborer’s Reformation Front was born and Sullust would never be the same.

Geina Vol, an alleged cell leader of the CLRF, was gunned down during one of their weekly marches. In retaliation, the chairman of SoroSuub, Siin Suub, was poisoned at a gala event three days later. The company’s response from its private military force, combined with the Empire’s own ISB agents, was brutal and unrelenting. A fleet of Imperial ships led by the calculating Commander Kurgan quickly blockaded the planet, and no one was allowed on or off world until the assassins were caught.

Sullust was cut off and slowly being choked to death. In other words, it was a perfect opportunity for the Rebel Alliance to notch a high-profile, hearts-and-minds victory over the Empire. But one question remained – who would lead the campaign to free Sullust?
They needed someone aggressive in battle, yet not prone to overextending themselves. Someone who knew how to coordinate the Rebel’s potent starfighters to support their fleet and those of their subordinates. Someone with name recognition that could spark a rebellion. On recommendation from Admiral Ackbar himself, the High Command chose newly-promoted Commodore Miche Skywalker-Theia of the Alderaan Justice Squadron. Joining Commodore Skywalker would be two other rising stars in the Rebel Alliance: Commanders Dax Hollis and Vann De Lo.

Dax Hollis was the leader of Antagonist Squadron. A recipient of the Mantooine Medallion, Hollis often employed unorthodox battle tactics and had a reputation for fraternizing with underworld scum. Admiral Ackbar chose him because he knew the Outer Rim’s smuggling routes better than anyone. Vann De Lo headed up Defiance Squadron. An ex-Imperial mechanic, he specialized in refitting and repairing whatever the Rebels could scrap together, as well as sabotaging the Empire’s infrastructure. Ackbar knew Vann’s skills would prove vital in this operation. With her forces in place, Commodore Skywalker-Theia set course for the Outer Rim, all the while wondering what form the Empire's response would take...
