Spoilers inbound!!
Wave 8 Stream on 11/19
I don’t like that it says they will be joining the fight early next year. I was thinking we were on track for before Christmas.
What a time to be alive:
12.11: The Mandalorian
15.11: Jedi: Fallen Order
19.11: Armada new ship stream
🥳
"Join us for Star Wars™: Armada action on November 19th with a stream showing off the new ships joining the fight early next year. Developers Brooks and Michael will be on hand to show off the new Nadir Starhawk and Onager-Class Star Destroyer!"
When will FFG just admit they're not a company but 3 clowns in an overcoat pretending to be a company?
Super excited about the livestream!
Excited to see the new ships, disappointed but not surprised that they are delayed until early 2020. Will they ever hit a target date?
Edited by ninclouse2000Very excited to see the new ships in action. Slightly flabbergasted and bewildered that they're missing the Christmas window. I mean, wow.
If it was x-wing or legion the target date would be spot on

X-wing has missed quite a few anticipated release dates since 2.0's launch

Yeah, I remember when Legion Clone Wars was released on time 😂
Also, their “News” articles are always full of bad information. I’m not taking that “early next year” as gospel yet.

Still salty over the Legion core box screw up
Did they edit the page? I don't see where it says the ships are joining the fight early next year.

The 3 words "early next year" have been removed.

That is what I like to hear/see
Let's be real, the media team was just jumping the gun 'cause they know FFG can't meet deadlines. It'll be delayed till May next year....
Did they update it. It doesn't say next year for me...

Ditto...
Yes, they edited the page. The guys who write articles / writing the stream article are not the same guys as marketing.
Clearly someone at FFG read this this thread and changed the article.
Wouldn't it be nice if they just made a post here explaining the situation...
"Hey guys just wanted to let you know. The "join next year" was a mistake on our side. The ships are still an track for Q4 this year."
or "Sorry to tell you this but the ships will probably be delayed till early next year."
I am talking to you, FFG media person reading this right now 👋 Come on, say something instead of just being a silent spectre

Boy, wouldn't that be something. There's a first time for everything, I guess.

Sounds like that should be the first question asked in the live stream...
It's easy. Just add 3 months to release times and you are virtually guaranteed it will be in stock... except Something Big of course.
Remember that something similar happened with RitR. They announced it would be Q3. Then it was on the boat a long time, and their most recent article didn't mention Q3 and we got worried. Then it slid in just at the very end of Q3.
The fact that they removed "early next year" but didn't mention a definite time probably just means they're unsure. So not mentioning a specific time is probably a good strategy.
