Hello folks!

I have yet to figure out of what good building philosophy in Epic consists, but I was playing around in YASB and thought this looked like a HOOT:

6 X Echo Base Evacuees with Targeting Battery, Bombardment Specialists, Tibanna Reserves, and Booster Scanners

They can Lock-Calculate every turn so that their Targeting Battery can fire at every range band, modified with a TL, and the free TL they get can either feed next round if they don't need the calc to adjust range or be spent on a primary attack. Boosted Scanners let's them get that lock as early as possible, while Tibanna Reserves feeds their needs through the game. Their ship ability will provide even more shield regen

I have to say, I am interested to see 1) if there is a limit on huge ships, and if not, then 2) how good will huge ship spam be? I'm picturing that scene in The Empire Strikes Back [ not Return of the Jedi] where the Millennium Falcon dives between two Star Destroyers and they end up colliding. It could be a very real concern. But man, that's just a lot of health to chew through!

This could be very interesting indeed. Something that needs to be tried at least once if it's allowed... I mean, two Raiders and a couple of escorts sounds quite thematic and daunting.

That's the way to do it. My group where I just moved are pretty new to the game, so they don't have huge ships, unfortunately. Not even sure they have enough ships to run Epic battles yet. But I'm definitely going to ask them, and I'll supply whatever is necessary for them to play with me.

Since Huge ships appear to be slow and lumbering, I'm not sure how effective Huge ship spam will be. You might be just making it easier to out fly your forces.
