If you're within driving distance of the Columbus, Ohio area for some X-Wing this Saturday, Daniel Fiorentini, Ravensquadron, and Beyond the Board are running a charity-community event! The proceeds are going to the Nationwide Children's Hospital, one of the largest research children's hospitals in the United States, located in Columbus. It was such a blast last year, and I'm screaming into the nether-void of this forum to raise awareness for it! 4 rounds of some chill, kit-level extended format, and we're all here to have fun for a good cause--and some Chipotle! The prize support is also impressive.

If you can't make it but are interested, you can donate directly to Extra Life's page; Extra Life itself is a great meta-event centered around fundraising through Videogames and Tabletop games on the first Saturday of November for the cause of children's research hospitals across North America.
Also, the store's streaming/recording group Flip the Table TV is going to be present recording some games. I know not if they will be streaming the event, but all the same, some wind-down X-Wing footage is just what the doctor orders if you recently entered the saltmine threads about fortressing, Sun Fac, or The Big Boogeyman™ of the week. If I recall correctly, they seek out games between more interesting lists instead of recording the top tables.
Hope to see you there, and if not, hope you see some the list-hipsters on your screens!
