Hmm. Are plasmas actually better in alpha strike situations? Should I be putting Plasma on wedge instead of PT?

Given Wedge's ability, it's pretty solid. It's worth playing around in the calculator, see how it looks when put up against standard stuff.

Against 3-agility ships (thus rolling 2 green dice), I'm getting the results being the same. Given the fact that Plasma Torps are cheaper, they do seem like the better choice, mostly. Until you wind up staring down Soontir Fel or Fenn Rau.

Thanks for the info. Good to know. same against most things with shields for 4 less points except vs Soontir or Fenn. But hey. If you get a shot on either with Wedge, that's already pretty good.

Its not true. Its nerly the same.

Couple thoughts. And they are just thoughts.

Plasma are generally awkward. There's a lot of lists with no shields in HS these days, to go paying that hefty 9pt. Plays into the whole counter one thing/be countered by another deal.

Alpha strike on Boba should really be a welp, I have no other choice thing. You have to practically sell yourself out for it and can easily (probably) end up getting wrecked for the rest of the game. Regardless of the damage you put on him.

Even 4 Fearless Fangs, nearly HS's best jousters. You mostly lose too much in that early trade to close the game out, even if you do manage to peg him.

Playing against Boba is all about positioning and target priority. You know what he wants, you know what he can do, that's what you need to play around.
