Imperial Nebulon

By Borderguy190, in Star Wars: Armada Painting and Modification

I watched this video a couple weeks back:

It was so cool I had to build one for my fleet. This is my first attempt at a mod bukld for Armada. Ive built plenty of plastic models, but scratch building isn't one of my strengths.

Here are a couple pics:

So I what do you think?

And yes, I noticed the assymetry and crookedness. Lets just say its had a rough life!

Hey, for a first go at scratch building something like this, who cares if it's not perfectly symmetrical? Looks pretty decent to me and would be fun to see on the table.

As with most scratch builds - it only looks awkward until you paint it. Prime it, give it a nice light grey coat, apply a dark grey wash (I wouldn't go full black except for the deepest recesses) and tidy up the panels a bit at the end. Voila - brand new awesome Imperial Neb B!

Thanks! Good tip on painting. I've painted thousands of models. But this is only my 2nd star wars model. I did repaint a Firespray a couple years ago, but this is the first from bare white.
