IMO it looks like a TIE fighter for areas where specialized facilities would be a waste of resources.

Exactly what I thought. Worse for landing in facilities were space isore scarce, but better better for a patch of dirt at some backwater outpost, were the ground is the problem.

It is just a TIE without the lift kit installed.
...or...
That is just a TIE with the aftermarket STOL kit installed
...or...
This is a really weird attempt at bringing “uglies” to the big screen.
EDIT: I actually think you are correct. I’m just having some fun because Star Wars needs poked at sometimes

Watched the first episode. I really liked it. Had the gritty Star Wars feel and an interesting start.
Very good opening episode. Nice cliffhanger ending.
I liked it.
Sorry Disney for my despicable underworld source of entertainment. Even when you deserve it I didn't mean it, but I cannot wait til you bring that to Spain. I cannot trust anyone here to don't spoil me. They play dictors after all.

I guarantee the amount of piracy for this show is going to be through the roof. The decision to not release the show simultaneously across the globe is just unbelievable to me. I would guess that the majority of people who want to watch the show but have no legal way to do so will watch it somewhere on the internet illegally. The Mando would have been a huge hook to get people to subscribe to Disney+ but now that a very big part of the target audience will have already seen the show they might not subscribe to Disney+ until the next Star Wars show comes out.
I would not be surprised if the staggered release will cause Disney to miss out on millions of missed monthly subscription fees world wide.

I heard it is not completely their fault, as national legislation about content production could have obstructed their intent of a global release, but I don't really know.
What a missed opportunity though.
My rule of thumb with all new shows is that they HAVE to hook me on the very first episode. After watching it, I am very optimistic for this series. It had everything I hoped for in a Star Wars series considering the timeline of the show of 5 years after ROTJ. IG11 was the breakout star for me and I hope to see more of it in future episodes. The episode contained plenty of old school references to drag in the nostalgic fans and a great ending to keep you coming back for more. Bravo Jon Favreau!!! 😁
I enjoyed it. It is clearly part of a larger story so i’ll have to see how it all fits together to say whether or not it’s good.
I love IG-11. Brilliant animation that looks almost stop motion.
Love the Ughnaut and Bluurgs.
The action is fantastic.
I think this has the potential to be an incredible show.
My ONLY concern is that the Mando is going to be a tank who can take on hordes of enemies at once constantly.
The trope of cutting through endless baddies effortlessly is the one that always ruins stories for me.
Its one aspect of Rebels I hated.

Not releasing Disney+ globally is a bad move, but likely something that couldn't be avoided due to all sorts of legal reasons.
I doubt that Disney is worried about loosing money here. They aren't selling a one time purchase. This isn't a video game, or a movie. It's a service containing lots of SW content, along with Marvel content, along with lots of other IPs also. The people that would sub to Disney+ today if it were available around the world are going to subscribe in 6 months to a year when it becomes available. Why? Because of the fact that there is other content available and coming. I doubt very few people were planning to sub just long enough to binge this one show and then never sub again.

Well, I'm not paying this year so I guess they lost some money. 🤣
Mandalorian makes me want to play Edge of the empire, 1st episode was so good.
I thought the visuals were great. The Lucis Film logo at the start was awesome.
I felt the story was bland and woodey
The IG allways going on about checking out was annoying.
Does make you wonder all the people at the end were they protecting it or kidnapping it?

The twin Mustang was a pretty good aeroplane. The H wing on the other hand seems poor and plays to none of the rebel strengths.
Hey man, those contractors came in with the lowest bid and its not like the Rebels were rolling in cash
I guess Disney started going through all the international legal stuff to late. It almost seems like they started with the US to then adapt to other countries instead of working on everything simultaneously from the get go. I guess starting Disney plus in the average country isn't much harder than in the US. It could also be that they just have more resources in the domestic market. Also the sheer size of it warrants increased priority (they have to put a similar amount of legal work into each European country for far less return).

All EU member states will (mostly) have identical legal codes on this because the EU runs it all from above.
However there may well be protectionist elements within the EU's legal codes that Disney is running afoul of.

Yet somehow we in the Netherlands already have Disney+ as the only European country. So I think a lot still needs to be done on a country level instead of EU level.
I really liked the first episode and hope it grows into a great series.
That first episode hooked me. And that ending. The 15th can’t get here fast enough.
